It was a good summer in Upper Darby!!
This year both the youth program and the high school provided off-season opportunities to train and compete. Coach Chris Steffa led the youth room and provided freestyle and folkstyle technique and training throughout the spring and summer.
A select group of youth wrestlers competed in a few summer tournaments. The high school room was also open throughout the spring and summer.
The summer program was led by Sammy Kimmel who graduated from Wilkes College in May.
Sammy and Coach LaVerghetta took seven high school wrestlers to the TNT Wrestling Camp at Kutztown University. Two rising 9th graders joined five upperclassmen to learn and compete.
Your donations helped subsidize the costs of camp to make it possible for our wresters to attend.
