Nathan “Gage” Ingram died Jan. 12, 2024, while on a mission with Navy SEAL Team 3. He was attempting to save a fellow SEAL and was lost at sea. Ingram, 27, of Trophy Club, Texas, enlisted in the Navy in September 2019 and graduated from BUDS in

December 2021. His awards and decorations include various personal and unit awards. He was a devoted husband, son, and friend. Ingram is survived by his wife, Jewel; his father, Chet Ingram; his mother, Kristi Hughes; his sister, Jaci; and his stepfather, Danny Hughes.

Eva Mireles, 44, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, while shielding her fourth-grade students from a gunman at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Mireles’ co-teacher, Irma Garcia, and 19 students were also killed in the shooting.

Mireles was in her 17th year of teaching in the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District and held certifications in special education and bilingual education.

In addition to regularly running before school, she also enjoyed hiking, and friends and relatives recall she could be found in her CrossFit gym almost every day after school.

Lieutenant Blake McClain was a U.S. Navy SEAL known for his leadership, humility, and relentless work ethic. He served his country with courage and made the ultimate sacrifice while deployed in Afghanistan. Today we honor his legacy the best way we know how—through hard work and shared suffering.
