From a fellow patroller here at Sugar Mountain Ski Patrol:
“Dear Fellow Patrollers and Friends,
Joe has been a pillar of the Sugar Mountain community for nearly five decades. For 48 years as a Ski Patroller, he has helped countless people injured on the slopes — always the first to volunteer and the last to ask for anything in return. He is one of the most solid and dependable people I know: humble, hardworking, and deeply loved by everyone who knows him.
Joe is scheduled for open-heart surgery on May 7. His surgery and recovery will keep him away from his work as a farrier for an extended period, at a time when his family depends heavily on that income.
If you’re able, please consider supporting Joe and his family through this GoFundMe:

Please also feel free to share the link with others who may want to help.
Thank you so much for your support, prayers, and encouragement for Joe and his family during this time.”

I will also put the GoFundMe link in the comments if you can’t access it from this post.
Let me say this…Joe is one of the most kind, caring and humble people I have ever met and doesn’t think twice about helping others in need. Even just a few dollars from each person who reads this post would make a HUGE difference to his family.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️❤️❤️
