Are you losing and re-gaining the same 10lbs over and over again?

Listen, I get it. You join that X week challenge, follow a diet that requires you cut out carbs and all your ethnic & favorite foods, and join a boot camp that leaves you sore for a week.

You crush it for a few weeks, feeling amazing as your pants fit looser.

But then, life happens. Your old habits sneak back, and suddenly those pants are tight again. Ugh!

Here's the thing:
anyone can drop some weight quickly. Eat less, kill yourself at the gym, hate life and bam! Lighter number on the scale.

But let's be real, that is NOT sustainable. (Ask me how I know that…)

What about feeling confident in your clothes?

Loving the toned and sculpted shape of your body?

Feeling more energetic?

Eating normal people food?

Getting fit isn't just about dropping a few pounds and calling it a day.

It's about building a body that makes you feel amazing, not just look a little skinnier.

Here's the secret weapon: muscle.

Muscle can help you fill out those clothes and achieve a toned look, even if the scale doesn't budge much.

Forget the "skinny-fat" ideal.

Would you rather be a weak 140 pounds or a strong, lean, and toned 150?

Building muscle isn't just about aesthetics; it's about feeling powerful and badass.

Trust me, lifting weights is way more rewarding than the yo-yo diet cycle.

It's about mental toughness, physical strength, and building your body one workout at a time.

(And of course, it helps to have the metabolism boost from the extra muscle 🙂)

Losing a few pounds is cool, but building a lean, toned, and a strong, confident you for life?

Now that's a journey worth taking.

Let's stop those quick fixes and build something awesome!

** Are your fears holding you back?**

Years ago, I was scared of starting to workout. “What if I can’t keep up?”

“ I’m so weak, I’ll look like a wimp compared to everyone.”

“I have no idea what I should be doing at the gym!”

“ What if I go all in and don’t see any results?”

It’s easy to stop ourselves from even trying.

It’s easier to stay stuck in the same old patterns than to try something unfamiliar and new.

Those unhealthy habits that are hurting you can feel comfortable and seem safe at the moment, but they're keeping you from living your best life.

Does this sound familiar?

😫You keep eating the foods that make you feel sluggish and out of shape.

😫You skip your workouts because there is no time.

😫You procrastinate making the necessary changes and before you know it, another year has passed -

❌ another year of skipping out on photos

❌another year of avoiding the mirror

❌another year of hiding under loose clothing.

Deep down, you know you're afraid.

You're afraid of getting out of your comfort zone,
afraid of failing,
afraid of disappointing yourself or others.

👉🏽That fear is holding you back from the incredible body and life you want and deserve.

👉🏽The truth is, change is happening, whether you want it to or not.

So why not choose to be the driving force behind your own transformation?

It’s ok to be scared AND take action.

Stop waiting for tomorrow, next week, or next year. Do it now.

14 years ago, I was scared to start on my fitness journey.

I spoke to my husband about my fears. Of not being able to keep up, fear of having no time, etc.

He helped me work through these fears and supported me in taking action.

I’m so happy I did and I have never looked back from that point on.

If you need help working through your fears and doubts, reach out to supportive friends and/or family.

Reach out to me.

I'm here to help and guide to break through your comfort zone in a way that feels manageable, to finally take the necessary actions to get the body and life you want for yourself.

You can do it!

Cheering you on,

PSA to my ladies over 35:
You need to start focusing on this NOW!

As we enter into mid life, strength training is key for many reasons
AND…

did you know it’s important for our bone health?

⁉️ Osteoporosis affects 1 out 3 post-menopausal women?

⁉️ Women lose on average 20% of their bone density during the 5 to 7 years following menopause? 20%!!

⁉️This one is truly scary:
30% of women over 65 who break a major bone (hip, femur, etc) will NOT survive the fall?

As we go into perimenopause/menopause, our bone loss accelerates increasing our risk of osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis occurs when our bones lose minerals like calcium faster than the body can replace them, causing bones to become less dense and break more easily.

So what can we do to increase our bone density?

🔑 Increase weight bearing exercises that include impact
: like jumping, skipping, jogging, etc

🔑 Strength train: lifting HEAVY builds muscle AND bone (those 3lb dumbbells are NOT heavy enough).

🔑 Boost bone health nutrition: eat your dark leafy greens, broccoli, dairy, fishes high in Omega 3s such as salmon and sardines

🔑 Supplement with D3/K2, magnesium, possibly hormones (consult with your doctor about all of these)

It’s never too late to start taking care of our bodies, however, the earlier we start, we can stay ahead of all these issues and lower the negative impact.

Start making these changes now and you’ll be glad you did when you are active, healthy, and thriving post meopause ❤️

This was a pivotal moment in my life from 10 years ago. Let me share why…

This is the moment I realized my kids are watching everything I do.

Not only watching, they are learning and copying what I do.

The good AND the bad.

This is an old picture that popped up in my FB memories.

I had attended a paint class and painted my first piece of artwork.

Later that day, I found my then 6 year old daughter had copied the artwork. So sweet!

It was cute to see but it dawned on me that my girls are watching, learning, and copying what I do.

Copying the artwork was great but there were things I was doing at that time that I was not proud of.

❌ I was killing myself at the gym trying to lose weight and get my pre-baby body back.

❌ I was eating too little, avoiding carbs like the plague,

❌ I was obsessing over my weight

and other harmful behavior.

The moment I saw this copy of my artwork,

I realized I did not want my daughter to copy the harmful behaviors and habits I had around my body, food and exercise.

I wanted them to love, appreciate and take care of their bodies.

This is when I changed my philosophy around exercise and food.

This is the philosophy that I live by and teach to my clients - a way of exercising and eating that I would be proud to have my daughters copy (now almost 18 and 16 yrs old):

✅ We can eat all foods (even desserts and pizza if we choose) while eating foods that keep us healthy.

✅ We exercise to build us up and make us capable and strong.

✅ We exercise so we can feel good mentally, emotionally, and physically.

✅ We show ourselves compassion and grace.

✅ We can make progress without being perfect.

✅ We love and appreciate our bodies at all stages and sizes.

I’m always happy to hear from clients how their kids are exercising along with them or how their child eats vegetables and protein now because they see Mom’s plate.

As a Mom, you are a role model in more ways than you can imagine.

Are you ready to be the best role model you can be when it comes to your body image, exercise and nutrition?

I’m taking on 2 more clients in May. DM me or comment “info” below to learn more ❤️

Our words are so powerful that what we say, we make come true.

Sometimes we tell ourselves stories as a way to excuse our behavior or even stop us from achieving our goals.

Our stories are not the truth and they are not set in stone.

They are stories you made up and you have the power to change that story.

Once you change your story, your brain will believe your new story.

Here are a few ways to change stories to take back power, giving you new possibilities:

I don't have time to exercise -->
I will make time for exercise, even if it's just 5 mins.

I don't like veggies -->
I will try new veggies and new ways of cooking them to find ones I like.

I can't lose weight after 40--> I will lose weight if I follow the proper plan for this new stage of life.

I have to eat ice cream after dinner --> I choose to eat ice cream after dinner. I can also choose to not have ice cream or have something else such as fruit.

It's time to change your stories and take back your power.

A big part of my coaching program is helping my clients identify and change the stories holding them back so they can finally change their habits and beliefs so they can lose weight for good, be healthy and happy.

What story are you willing to give up?

Have you ever felt so uncomfortable or unhappy with how you looked that you avoided looking in the mirror or taking photos?

🙋🏽‍♀️ I did and not that long ago either.

A few years ago (soon after I turned 40) my body started to change.

😥 My weight was increasing
my belly (which had been flat for the past 10+ years) was suddenly starting to grow.

😮‍💨 I was feeling exhausted and looked like it

☹️ my face was looking chubby

😩 and I was exhausted all the time

The things that worked for me for the past 10 years suddenly stopped working.

I was confused and frustrated.

Little did I know, my body was going through some major changes .

Even though my old habits were good, they no longer served me for this new stage of life.

If I wanted to see results now, I had to change my approach.

My new strategy required changes to the type of exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress management, etc.

I’m so glad I got educated on what to do and diligently implemented this new strategy.

I’m showing up again, happy and confident in my 46 year old body.

Are you struggling with weight loss and/or other changes after turning 40?

DM me to set up a free consultation to learn how I can help you find the right strategy for this stage of life so you can love how you look and feel again!

My life transformed when I stopped saying “later”.

I was under this false pretense that “later”, I would have time to focus on me:

- time to exercise,
- time to eat better,
- time to rest,
- time to focus on growing my business

The reality is, life doesn’t magically get easier “later”.

Yes, things definitely change over time but they don’t get easier.

Your routines will change, priorities may change, activities may change but the amount of time and energy required doesn’t change all that much (until they start driving or go off to college!)

If I waited until I had more time, I would still be sitting on the sidelines feeling:

😮‍💨 exhausted all day
😓 sad & depressed
😔 unhappy with how I looked and felt
😩 stressed about my health
☹️ not confident in myself
🙈ashamed to be in photos

As much as it sucked, I’m so glad I had a health wake up call that kicked my butt into gear and made me start exercising when I was the most busiest, resulting in a woman and Mom who was/is:

⭐️ strong and full of energy
⭐️ confident in herself physically and mentally
⭐️ independent and capable
proud to be in photos with my family
⭐️ calm, patient, and emotionally balanced
⭐️ a role model for how to be fit and healthy in a balanced way

Honestly, if I waited until I actually had time, I would have finally started this year vs. 13 yrs ago!

I’m not saying it’s going to be easy.

You’ll have to include yourself as a priority, manage your time differently, learn to plan, be flexible, change your habits that aren’t serving you well, etc.

It will be hard AND it will be worth it.

✅Start small
✅Start messy
✅Start imperfectly
✅just START

✅ Start so you can show up as the best version of you for your loved ones AND for yourself.

When did you start taking care of yourself? BTW, “Today” is a great answer too ❤️

Did you do the work?

Before you say the self
Help book didn’t work, the fitness program or your nutrition program failed, take an honest look at the effort you put in.

If you are at least 80% consistent with putting in the necessary work, you WILL see see results.

If you are inconsistent or give up when things get hard, the program didn't fail, you failed the program.

It's in your hands, take ownership and make your goals a reality.

By the way, this holds true for all areas in our lives whether it's health related, relationships, education, business, etc.

Are you ready to do the work and finally see the results you want?

Ladies over 40, It’s not your age.

It’s everything else you’re doing while trying to lose weight that is causing your metabolism to slow down🤯

REAL TALK: Those HIITs and cardio workouts in combination with a low calorie, no carb diet is depleting your muscle mass.

Those things you THINK are helping you lose weight are ACTUALLY slowing down your metabolism, causing your body to use your fat burning muscle as an energy source to survive.

That’s a problem because muscle requires energy to maintain and build itself meaning muscles burn calories even when you’re not moving.

This also means the LESS muscle you have, the LESS calories your body burns.

The only way to fix this is to use the right strategy to get your metabolism working optimally again:

→ by eating the right amount of calories, the right amount of protein

→ by reducing stress, and

→ building muscle with the right kind of workouts.

It’s time to work smarter NOT harder.

If you want to lose weight, get toned, feel energized while getting leaner and feeling great, you need to align your fitness & nutrition strategies in a way that is effective, manageable, and sustainable.

No more exhausting workouts.
No more using willpower.
No more depriving ourselves of food groups or our favorite foods.

No more being miserable.

Join me in my 16 week Midlife Metabolic Boost Program.

I’ll give you the EXACT blueprint you need to follow to finally lose weight, get toned, and feel happy in your body during perimenopause/menopause.

If you’re ready to transform your body, feel more energetic, and get better results, schedule a time for us to talk using the link in the comments section below.

Early on in my fitness journey I felt stuck.

I felt like I was doing everything right but I just wasn't seeing results.

It wasn't until I realized that when it comes to transforming my health & body, it was my mindset that was holding me back.

Try changing the narrative from a fixed mindset where you have no control over the outcome to a growth mindset where you take ownership and see what you can do differently to be successful.

Here are some says you can reframe your old narrative holding you back to a new positive narrative to move you forward:

❌ I can’t change —>
✅ I had the wrong strategy. Let me try a new one.

❌ I have bad genetics —>
✅ I can change my lifestyle and habits to stay healthy

❌ Nothing works —>
✅ I wasn’t compliant or consistent

✨You can't change the past but you CAN control your actions and attitude moving forward.

✨Reframe your thoughts and keep moving forward.

What is a narrative you would like to reframe? Let me know in the comments 👇🏽

Why You’re Not Seeing Results {Part 2 of 3}

➡️ You think a good workout requires you being exhausted and sweaty

Killing ourselves at the gym is not necessary to be fit.
-After the age of 40, it’s important to train in a way that helps you retain and build your muscle.
-Lift heavy 2-3x week & add cardio for heart health.
😱Did you know HIIT workouts can actually do more harm than good for many women 40+??

➡️ You only do exercise that you enjoy

You should always include exercise that you enjoy but keep in mind not all exercises are created equal.

Running or spin classes will not help you get toned (aka build muscle).
👉🏽You need to follow a proper, well structured strength program to get toned and strong.
As we start permenopause/menopause the loss of muscle causes our metabolism to slow down, resulting in fat gain (hello menopause belly!). Buiding muscle will help increase your metabolism helping you lose fat again.

➡️ You’re focusing on exercise to lose weight and ignoring your diet

As the saying goes “you can’t out run a bad diet”.
Exercise to be fit, strong, capable, and healthy NOT to lose weight. Exercise doesn’t burn nearly as many calories as most people think.
👉🏽If your goal is to lose weight, you NEED to focus on your nutrition.

Why You’re Not Seeing Results {Part 1 of 3}

➡️ You Haven’t Given It Enough Time

The truth is, we’re so used to instant gratification nowadays that if the results are not immediate, we either think we failed or it’s impossible.

Have some patience. Sustainable weight loss takes time AND it will be worth it.

➡️ You’re Inconsistent

I see this all the time. You have the right plan but you just don’t follow through with it. Work gets hectic, child gets sick, a vacation comes up, etc and that one skipped workout or off-track meal leads to more poor decisions.

Stop making excuses and stick to your plan.

➡️ You’re Not Following a Structured Fitness Program

Random workouts are not the best way to build strength.
need to follow a well structured plan for at least 4 weeks that covers all the different muscle groups and planes of motion to keep your body strong, flexible, capable, and functional as you age.

➡️ You’re Not Tracking Your Workouts

You work out consistently but are you actually getting stronger and helping to offset the muscle loss we start experiencing during perimenopause/menopause?

Tracking your workouts will help you increase the intensity over time so you can gain muscle AND burn fat.

➡️ You’re Ignoring Other Signs of Progress

Are you so fixated on losing weight that you’re ignoring other signs such as your clothes fitting better, inches lost, more energy, changes in physical appearance in progress photos?

Weight loss will come but first you will see all these other signs

Stay Tuned for Part 2…
