Wrapping up my 1️⃣2️⃣th 8-Week Challenge. 🤯
This one was a STRUGGLE.
We can’t expect perfection and it’s just not feasible to think that every time a Challenge rolls around we are going to knock it out of the park.
So, why do I continue to participate and share my results?
1. These challenges help me maintain consistency.
2. I am a part of an amazing team and community and our mutual participation lifts everyone up!
3. Within that community, me showing that I ALSO STRUGGLE, that I can lose momentum and not really make progress is helpful because everyone will have that experience at some point, and probably already has.
4. If I didn’t have consistency and accountability I’d be in a MUCH worse place, for sure.
In the past 4 month I have moved internationally, 1 year after we had just moved locally. I said goodbye to my oldest child, because she chose to stay stateside. I had a stomach bug that put me in the ER but also let me learn that I had low iron. When we got to Germany I had bloodwork and found out that I had SO LOW iron, hemoglobin and ferritin that I’d need an infusion. The doctor told me that after looking at my numbers he didn’t know what to expect when I walked into his office. It’s likely that it has been decreasing gradually for years and that’s how I’ve adjusted and was doing as well as I could.
I have been asking myself:
“What’s wrong with me?”
“Will I ever feel like myself again?”
“Is this hormones? aging?”
So, this challenge was a way to get (gradually) back to feeling like myself.
I’ve been more active, working out more, focusing on one healthy habit at a time and building back up to the stack of habits that I know helps me look and feel my best.
If you are feeling lost, frustrated, out of control, lacking a routine, have some questions or just want a group of friends to help you stay on track, drop your favorite emoji and I’ll message you personally
