Being a great trainer isn’t just about knowing one lane it’s about being versatile and understanding that every client comes in at a different level, with different goals, different struggles, and a different starting point.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to coach at a DEKA and Spartan competition in Alabama, and it was a reminder of how important it is to keep growing, learning, and adapting. From beginners pushing their limits to seasoned competitors chasing performance, it challenged me to think differently and expand how I coach.
As a trainer, you’ve got to be willing to wear different hats coach, motivator, teacher, and sometimes even student. That’s where real growth happens.
Stay open. Stay evolving. That’s how you become better for the people who trust you with their journey.
