✨Breast cancer awareness month✨a Month near and dear to my heart.
Two years ago one of my greatest fears came true. Nothing could have prepared me for what it feels like to hear the words: “you have breast cancer”… nothing.
And I never thought I’d be able to overcome a lot of the challenges that came with it, but I learned that I’m stronger and more resilient and more magical than I ever gave myself credit for.
So, if you’re newly diagnosed with this heartbreaking illness, I want you to remember: you are allowed to be angry, to mourn, and to not have it figured out. And you’re also allowed to feel joy, to be taken care of, to ask for help, to grow, to laugh, and to feel hopeful.
For those of you in a caretaking role: please listen more, avoid the platitudes, ask more questions, take good care of yourselves, and ask for help.
Lastly- To all of my fellow breast cancer survivors- I see you, I honor you, you inspire the heck out of me!!!
Stay strong 🩵🩷🎗️
