Yestrrdsy was a big day. The 4th wrist operation appears to be healing nicely. I got a new fancy splint in Ross Sheppard High School colors - double blue 💙

It seems my nose felt left out. I had a basal cell carcinoma removed yesterday. Please stay vigilant with skin checks, especially us old farts who have spent significant time on the range.

Wishing you a belated Merry "Everything" and a Happy New Year! May 2025 be your most successful year yet! 😄

I concluded the year on a high note by meeting my new grandniece, the perfect gift I could have asked for. The new year began with a significant event, my fourth surgery to repair my right wrist. God willing, this will be successful. I look forward to reconnecting in 2025! ❤️

Congratulations Susan!

This past weekend, Canada’s Susan Nattrass was elected to the ISSF Coaching Committee during the ISSF Council meeting in Rome! Susan has also been a pivotal force in the development of the ISSF Academy.

She joins Canadian, Dr. Sandra Honour, Chair of the ISSF Sustainability Committee, who continues her incredible work for two more years. Together, they represent Canada’s dedication to leadership and progress in the international shooting community.

Le week-end dernier, la Canadienne Susan Nattrass a été élue au Comité des entraîneurs de l'ISSF lors de la réunion du Conseil de l'ISSF à Rome ! Susan a également joué un rôle essentiel dans le développement de l'Académie ISSF.

Elle rejoint la Canadienne Sandra Honour, présidente du Comité de durabilité de l'ISSF, qui poursuit son incroyable travail pour deux années supplémentaires. Ensemble, elles représentent le dévouement du Canada au leadership et au progrès dans la communauté internationale du tir.

Day 3 of the 2024 Canadian International Trapshooting Nationals is complete 🇨🇦 🎯

Another great day at the Toronto International Sports Shooting Centre! Athletes from Canada, USA, UK, India, and China went head-to-head, shooting 75 more targets today. The competition is fierce, and the stakes are higher than ever as we approach the final day.

Tomorrow marks the final day of competition, where the Women’s and Men’s Finals will conclude the event and we’ll crown our champions! 🏆

Une autre excellente journée au Centre international de tir sportif de Toronto ! Les athlètes du Canada, des États-Unis, du Royaume-Uni, de l'Inde et de la Chine se sont affrontés, tirant 75 cibles supplémentaires aujourd'hui. La compétition est féroce et les enjeux sont plus élevés que jamais à l'approche du dernier jour.

Demain marquera le dernier jour de compétition, où les finales féminine et masculine clôtureront l'événement et où nous couronnerons nos champions ! 🏆

I attended my 56th consecutive Canadian International Trap National Championships at the Toronto International Trap & S***t Club this past week.

Unfortunately a recently fractured right forearm kept me from competing this year. I tried to shoot but it was just too painful & I didn’t want to do anymore damage. It was incredibly disappointing & upsetting 🥲

However it was great to reconnect with old friends and fellow shooters at the event, and I was glad to chair the Shotgun Council-Trap meeting and discussions. The day wrapped up with a wonderful dinner at the Toronto International Trap & S***t Club.

We had a good turnout for the competition. Congratulations to all who competed!!

A big thank you to Brett Nattrass, Peter Marshall and my dear friend Max and
others who prepared the club for months to make the event a huge success!!
