I love the Olympics. There was a quote I saw years ago, attributed to Bill Murray, don’t know if he actually said it. But the quote was “we should have one regular person in every Olympic event for reference” I think it’s the same for competitive shooting. Piggy backing on my last post. Many moons ago, 2016ish maybe. Big match at Universal, maybe FL Open, maybe a nationals, don’t remember. I’m working in the office doing MD s**t, someone comes in and says there is a dude that needs help, I said bring him in. He was shooting Production with a Beretta and it broke. I said “locking block”, he said yes. Shocker. I said I have a gun you can have but it’s OG. He didn’t know what OG meant but was appreciative of the loaner. Didn’t know or don’t remember the dudes name. Just handed him my gun and he brought it back. But a week later I got a Mason jar with an OG replacement kit in it. Sits in my trophy case today. If you see this bro, holler.

The shooting community doesn’t suck. Countless times I’ve loaned gear, ammo, guns, whatever to get someone through a match. I have a 10-22 for my daughter, it’s been not working very well. Gunsmith I am not but I think I diagnosed the problem. Called a steel challenge guru friend for advice on how to fix. He gave said advice then called back 15 min later and said I found a friend with a spare bolt carrier group, what’s your address? Thats why I don’t hate you people that much. Pic of my ab for no reason.

Sad and sucky. Hard video to watch. Media keeps saying “high powered rifle”. They are all high powered. Crappy $400 rifle and average $200 red dot a 200 yard shot is easy, gimmie for anyone with some skill and will. Similar to the Trump attempt, security has to extend their perimeter and flat out pay better attention. Maybe he didn’t have extended security, I don’t know. But if so, they failed.
