I hope you all enjoyed your holiday and are easing back into a normal schedule -which actually prompted this post. I like to remind my students not to fall into the cycle of jumping into intense, new fitness classes or workouts too “undo” holiday weight gain, only to crash shortly after from burnout, aches, or injuries.
Remember, “it’s a marathon, not a race”. Take your time choosing your strategy -both short-term and long-term. Be thoughtful about your environment (classes, a coach, or on your own), do your research, and vet who you work with. Most importantly, make realistic, sustainable choices. That is all! 🐢
