Special thanks to Mayor Joshua A. Garcia and his office for making sure our esteemed guest left with a custom bat, and for inviting us to present it to the Honorable Mayor Orlando Ortiz Chevres and his distinguished family and delegation visiting from Naranjito, Puerto Rico. ⚾️🤝
It was a true privilege to honor such impactful leaders who keep our culture of community and unity strong across the miles. Congratulations to the organizers FIESTAS PATRONALES PUERTORRIQUEÑAS IN HOLYOKE MA for bringing the island vibes to Massachusetts and keeping Holyoke’s culture thriving. It was an Incredible night at the Game Changers Celebration during MLB’s All-Star Weekend! ⚾️🔥 Being in a room full of visionaries, legends, and history-makers was pure inspiration. The energy was unmatched and the conversations were electric. Grateful and humble to be a part of it 🫡 🙏🏿🫶🏿⚾️🪵

One of our resident geese families got into a situation this evening. We noticed a couple parent geese in distress pacing back and forth around a small drain and we suspected something wasn’t right. Upon a Rutto Kids investigation, we determined that a baby goose had fallen in. We tried to take matters into our own hands but the geese were fiercely standing guard in attack mode, leaving us all in distress 😂. Thanks to Urban Wildlife for directing us to Holyoke Fire Department who showed up right away and saved the day!! Funny part was, the geese respected the uniform, moved back and let them handle the job without resistance. A beautiful reunion indeed, and a happy ride home from the shop! Thanks HFD for everything you do for our community!!! 🔥🔥🔥
