Wanna play with your food?! There's still some spots available for my very first workshop - Dyeing With Plants + Food Waste, this Saturday 3/30. We'll each make our own kitchen towel using food scraps like onion skins, avocado pits and carrot tops. I will teach a few different techniques for you to choose from. I'll also have a selection of last years pressed flowers and leaves from my personal collection to print with.

I'm finally rested up from a fantastic experience at Music is Art, and getting back in the 'darkroom' (aka my closet) to create more for this weekend. I'll have herbal apothecary goodies, jewelry, one-of-a-kind art prints, upcycled sun-printed clothing and more!

Visited today. Such a lovely little spot! 😍 I grabbed some fleurs for pressing and some to experiment with eco-printing on fabric. Co-creating with nature is my favorite!

True to form...here I am, two days before my first art show experimenting with new materials and processes. 🤦‍♀️ I'm happy to report that my first go at sun-printing silk was a wild success!! Also, playing around with gouache paint (on prints I put aside because they didn't have enough definition) was another win! I'm so grateful for the full sun all day so I could crank a bunch of pieces out.

I'm sad to report that every damn time I went out to do a print I was dive bombed by barn swallows protecting the nest they inconveniently chose to make right outside my main door. Not only that, but in my haste to optimize the sunshine hours I, not once, but twice! stepped on and shattered a glass pane I use for printing. Luckily no blood was shed. 😅

The pieces pictured and lots more will be with me at the Village Art Walk, this Saturday at from 10am-5pm
