Lumen Christi wins first girls basketball title
Kenna Hunt of Lumen Christi Catholic High School finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in the Division 3 championship game at the Breslin Center.

When it came down to push and shove in the fourth quarter, Lumen Christi Catholic High School just relaxed and won.
The Titans won its first girls’ basketball title with a 52-36 win at the Breslin Center on the campus of Michigan State University.
Lumen Christi has now won 59 team state championship in MHSAA play.
The Titans outscored Pewamo-Westphalia 18-2 in the fourth quarter of the championship game.
“We just took a deep breath and played like it was practice,” LCCHS star player Kenna Hunt said.
The Titans led 15-13 after eight minutes and took a 21-18 lead into halftime with a slow second quarter.
The score was tied 34-all at the end of the third quarter.
Hunt scored eight points in the fourth quarter and dished a number of assists.
“They (PW) challenged us in a way we haven’t seen in a minute,” Coach Scott Stine said. “We regrouped in the fourth quarter and played like pitbulls in the final quarter.”
Stine has won four-of-five state titles in Division 3 with three victories with Arbor Prep.
Lucy Wrozek came alive in the second half finishing with 14 points in the game. She scored only three points in the first half.
