Let talk mechanics! So many athletes are taught to just throw until they can control the ball. However, we need to control the ball before we can throw. Today was after 1 lesson of 2 drills with this young athlete and she was stellar! We came in with no mechanics and a side landing to a quick adjustment of heel, toe, and knee. This drill allows your athlete to extend the use of there knee by saving the wear and tear of a harsh side land and changing to a easy glide to the ground.
This Athlete has lots of work left but big adjust here after one lesson. Watch as her toe points to the sky and you see the marks where her heel and then toe lands.
