Happy Friday! What an important weekend this is. It's dedicated to honoring the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It serves as a vital national moment of remembrance, forcing a pause in daily life to recognize the ultimate sacrifice made by individuals to protect American freedoms, security and our way of life. At 3PM on Monday, local time, A National Moment of Remembrance occurs. It ensures that the human cost of war is never forgotten and that the families of fallen service members receive the nation's collective gratitude and respect.

By the way, there are 6 spots left for the Last Stand Backyard 1776 Backyard Ultra on June 13th. Runners from 16 states will gather to test themselves and collectively celebrate Flag day, the 250th birthday of the United States and support the important work of the Semper Fi Fund. Why not grab one of the 6 remaining spots?

Happy Monday to one and and all. We are down to 11 spots left for the Last Stand 1776 Backyard Ultra on June 13, 2026. We sure would love to see YOU bring us down to ten spots left.
If you are not into the commitment it takes to run a Backyard, consider joining us for the "mini". Same course, same ultra runners, same determination but you run the race the way you want to run it. . One loop, two loops, three or more. It's a great way to experience the atmosphere of an ultra. If nothing else, you will get in a good 4 mile run and help support the Semper Fi Fund. As we often say, "ONE MORE LOOP".

Good morning one and all;

Get ready for an inspiring time in God’s Word as Cheryl Gore leads us into a deep dive of Numbers 33:50–56; 34:13–15, a powerful passage where God gives Israel final instructions before entering the Promised Land.

In these verses, the Lord speaks to Moses on the plains of Moab, commanding the people to drive out the idols and inhabitants of the land and to take possession of what God has promised. It’s a vivid reminder that obedience paves the way for blessing—and compromise of any sort can destroy what God intends for good. God not only defines the boundaries of their inheritance, but also reminds His people that His promises come with purpose and responsibility. Their obligation is to trust and obey, just as ours remains today.

Our lesson, “Instructions Given,” will challenge us to examine how we follow God’s direction in our own lives—whether we’re stepping into new territory or standing firm in faith.

Good morning friends;

We invite you to be part of an important time of study and fellowship this Sunday as we open Deuteronomy 6:1–9 and 20–25 — a powerful passage that calls God’s people to wholehearted devotion and obedience in every generation.

In these verses, Moses reminds Israel of the importance of loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, and strength, and of passing that faith on diligently to the next generation. He urges them not to forget the Lord once they enter the blessings of the Promised Land but to remember that obedience flows from love and gratitude toward our Lord, not from obligation.

As followers of Christ today, we live in a culture that constantly competes for our attention, loyalty, and affection. This passage speaks directly to us — calling us to center our lives on the absolute truth of God’s Word, to teach it faithfully to our families, and to live it out authentically before a watching world. In a time when truth is often questioned or redefined by culture, even within the church itself, we are reminded that God’s Word never changes. It is our sure foundation, our guide, and our standard for living in every generation.

Come ready to be encouraged, challenged, and strengthened as we learn how to stand firm and follow Christ closely in today’s "culture challenged" world.
