I have SO MANY thoughts and feelings from the weekend. I will probably post multiple times to try to share them all. I often see things happen in bodybuilding that are like microcosms for life.

Classic Figure (the one piece suit) The first pro division of the 2024 Natural Olympia.

We walked away with 🥇the gold—man it was close! We all showed up to COMPETE this year. Honestly any one of us could have walked away with the win and it wouldn’t have been a surprise.

What I was surprised about was my reaction to winning. Even with this being my 9th consecutive Natural Olympia, the battle of the mind is still my biggest competition. Immediately after winning I was playing the comparison game—wondering if I really deserved it considering all of the incredible athletes on stage. Luckily I have surrounded myself with amazing people that helped me redirect thoughts to my worth. Yesterday the judges saw it my way. They don’t always do. So I am grateful and proud that yesterday they did! Sometimes accepting a win can be as difficult as accepting a loss. Grateful to compete in a sport I love that continues to teach me things everyday. Proud of this physique that I have sculpted for years on end and the ability to do it. I love improving my health and fitness. I love at the end of the year we evaluate (whether we have won or lost) how to improve for the next year🩷♥️

You win some, you lose some and sometimes, you’re the ONLY ONE. And that’s OK. Glad I had some stage time, and a peak week before USAs. I didn’t love how my body responded before stage—and it gave me some reflection on what I did great and what I need to work on for the next one. In the past if I found out I was the only female pro competitor I probably would have backed out—but not this time. It was an opportunity to perfect my craft and I’m glad I took it♥️

Thank goodness discipline isn’t about perfection! It’s about persistence and the determination to keep striving for your best self.
