"It all started with a dream."

Watching this teaser brings back all the energy from our Golden Goal Night. Seeing our players, families, and sponsors come together like this reminds me exactly why we do what we do at FCSC. It’s about more than soccer; it’s about community and growth.

Huge thanks to everyone who made this night possible. We have a lot more footage and photos coming soon, but in the meantime, we’re already looking for the next generation of players to join us on the pitch.

The 2026/27 Season starts in May! 🏟️⚡️

As the Executive Director of Franklin County Sports Club, my goal has always been clarity and quality for our families. This year’s 'Spring Series' is designed to take the stress out of tryouts and give players the time they need to truly show their skills.

We’ve officially opened registration for our May Kickarounds (U6–U12) and our High-Level ID Sessions (U13–HS Girls).

I’ll be on the turf in Union Middle School and at Memorial Baptist Church New Haven, Mo all through May. Come say hi and let’s talk about the future of your player's journey.

83 players. 🤯

When we started Franklin County Sports Club, the goal was always to grow the game we love in the place we call home. Seeing 83 families say "Yes" to our vision for MLS GO is a dream come true.

To our coaches and parents: We are working round the clock to finalize teams and get that schedule out by next week. Transparency is our North Star—we’re building this together.

New Haven, get ready. The beautiful game is growing! ⚽️✨

HISTORY MADE. ⚽️🔥

Last night, we officially closed registration for our first-ever FCSC MLS GO season with 83 players! To put that in perspective: last year, we had 23.

To the families from New Haven, Hermann, Washington, Union, and Sullivan—thank you for trusting us to grow the game in Franklin County. We are officially ready to kick off!

Next Steps for Parents & Coaches:
✅ COACHES: If you signed up a specific team, email us ASAP so we can keep your roster together!

📅 SCHEDULE: We aim to have the schedule posted by the end of next week (March 23)

📧 CHECK INBOX: We are currently finalizing divisions. Read our latest blog post for full details on team building and transparency

Sometimes soccer becomes so much more than soccer. ❤️⚽️

Today our FCSC U12 Girls surprised me on the pitch with diapers, wipes, and a soccer trainer toy for Baby Moraes, who will arrive soon. Last week, the Pope and Laure families from our U13 Boys team also blessed us with a basket full of clothes, toys, wipes, and diapers.

Maria and I gathered everything at home tonight, took these photos, and honestly… shed a few tears of joy.

We are incredibly grateful for this community that Franklin County Sports Club has created. What started as a dream to serve families through soccer has turned into something even more special — a family that cares for one another on and off the field.

Thank you to all the amazing families who stepped up to help prepare for Baby Moraes’ arrival. Your kindness means more than you know.

God is good. Always. 🙏

One thing I strongly believe in: great players are developed by great coaches.

That’s why opportunities like this matter.
Coaches from Franklin County Sports Club recently attended a training session with the St. Louis City SC U18 Academy, observing Head Coach and USSF Coach Educator Luis Swisher as he led a session on building out of the back under pressure.

Experiences like this help our staff continue learning from top environments and bring that knowledge back to the young athletes we serve in Franklin County.

The mission is simple:
Develop players. Develop people. Grow the game.

One of my favorite shots from our game against Metro Alliance at Sportport! 📸

I love these moments—talking through the game plan with the Franklin County Sports Club (FCSC) U16 Surge Boys and seeing them apply it on the field. This SLYSA Spring season has been a journey, and I couldn't be prouder to lead this group.

Let’s keep that momentum going, Surge! 🌪️⚽️

A Historic Intersection of Talent in Franklin County. 📈

This weekend, the Franklin County Sports Club U16 Surge vs. Rapids match wasn't just another SLYSA league game—it was a showcase of our region's athletic depth.

To see five major area high schools represented on two teams speaks volumes about the growth of soccer in our community. We are breaking down the silos between our towns to provide a platform where every athlete can reach their ceiling.

When we sharpen one another, the whole community wins.

This is my story...

I was born in the city of Juticalpa, Olancho, located in the beautiful country of Honduras. I’ve been a devoted Christian since the age of sixteen. After graduating from high school I earned a leadership and academic scholarship to attend Lindenwood University and triple major in Economics, Public Administration and Political Science and Government. Additionally, I also earned an MBA with an emphasis in International Business.

I began my soccer playing career as a goalkeeper at the age of eight back in 2001. I went from playing in ANAFUT academy all the way to high school Varsity at DelCampo International School. Also, I was honored to play for my U17 Honduras Youth National Team. Furthermore, I was able to experience professional level soccer in Honduras: 4th (Estudiantes), 3rd (Valencia), 2nd (Motagua) & 1st (C. D. S. Vida) Divisions.

Ever since I stopped playing the game, I decided to get started with my soccer coaching journey. As a coach, I have achieved my United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National D License. I have focused on developing young players, predominantly female athletes in the U9 U10 U11 & U12 (7V7 and 9v9 soccer standards) as well as U21 ( 6v6 Indoor soccer standards - Female Lindenwood University). As a former semi professional goalkeeper, I have also coached goalies in the U9 - U10 (Lou Fusz Soccer) and U16 - U18 (DelCampo International School - HS Junior Varsity and Varsity). Currently, I am the Director of Coaching at Washington Soccer association (WSA).

Moreover, I am married to the woman of my prayers, Maria Moraes. Maria is a professional chef and stay home mom. Together we are the proud parents of Alexander Moraes. Some of my hobbies include: worship drumming, working out, hiking, traveling, but most importantly, investing quality time with my precious wife and son.
