Telling others why YOU have all these reasons that make it hard for you to work out, but still do. And then tell others that they have no excuse is TOXIC. Stop that. It’s not helpful and it makes you look like a jackass. 🫏

Not only is it sort of mean, but a lot of people will read that and actually be pushed in the opposite direction. “I’d rather be unhealthy than be that asshole.”

You have no idea what’s going on in someone else’s life. This is something I’ve learned after training literally 100’s of different clients. Remember your 25% effort is someone else’s 100%

Stop gate keeping. Exercise/weightliting is for everyone! Smh

Nearly a decade ago in 2015, I did an interview about my experience working as one of the Master Trainers at LA Fitness’s Signature Club in Irvine. Starting out in a corporate gym was a solid foundation for my career as a personal trainer and coach. While the pay wasn’t quite where it should have been, the high volume of clients I trained day after day sharpened my coaching skills in ways no textbook could. There were days I’d train clients for 9–10 hours straight—keep in mind, I was only 25 at the time.

Education through school, books, articles, and forums is valuable and necessary, but nothing develops you as a trainer more than hands-on experience. That’s where the real learning happens.

Congratulations to my client for his radical transformation! He worked very hard for this accomplishment so don’t expect these changes to happen overnight. And as he said to me, “Results will vary!” This is very true. Although, we can gather encouragement from other’s success stories always remember that everybody is different. Your journey may take longer or have separate challenges than what you see others face. If this is something you struggle from feel free to DM me for help.

Me and my client Patrick practicing some yoga poses! This one bakasana or “crow” is a great strength exercise for your shoulder, arms, and wrists. But, also it helps develops balance and focus which translates back into any other physical activity AND will help you even when you’re NOT exercising.

2025 is here! And everything is different now… Oh wait, it’s not? Yup, it’s not. No matter what time of the year it is you should be focusing on your health because if you don’t have that you don’t have anything really. Regardless of age, injuries, etc. there is almost always a modification! As you can see here I’m doing a seated banded leg press, which is something you can do even if you can’t stand up. So, if you think I can’t workout because I have this injury/ailment I’m telling you can and SHOULD. (Always check with your doctor first before starting any fitness program) DM me if you have any questions or don’t know where to start and I’ll help you out. 💪

Circuit training! Circuit training is when you do multiple exercises back to back with no rest. This creates a challenging workout that you can do in a small amount of time. So, for you folks who got busy schedules this might be the workout for you!

Here’s what you do: First, set up your exercise stations. We have 6 exercise stations today (every cone in the picture is 1 station.) Ball Slam, Alternating Step Ups, battle ropes, Kettlebell Deadlifts, Dumbbell Bicep Curls, and lastly a Bosu Plank. You’re gonna do these exercises all in a row, 30 seconds at each station. When you come back to where you started that’s 1 rotation. After you get back to start you’re gonna rest for 2min then you will do another rotation. There will be 3 rotations in total for a beginner. For more advanced lifters you can do 5 rotations with 60s at each station for a real challenge!

Let me give you a great active warm up! Although I would recommend warming up for your workout with both 10-15min on the treadmill or bike AND an active warm up, if you only have the time for one or the other, go with an active warmup. What’s the difference? With an active warmup we are doing light mobility that not only get our bodies ready to , but specifically activate the areas that we are going to be working.

Here, Patrick is doing a yogaplex before a set of heavy squats, getting his hips, spine, and legs ready for the upcoming movements. This is just one example.

How to perform:
1. Start in a plank position.
2. Move into downward dog and back into plank.
3. Place your left foot outside your left hand, rotate your torso, and look towards your hand.
4. Reverse the movement and return to plank.
5. Repeat steps on the right side.
6. Continue alternating sides until you complete 5-10 reps on each side.
