Jay-bird's Wounded Game Recovery

We got a call last night to track two different bucks on the same property. A grandfather and his grandson had shot them and needed Maggie’s help finding them. We decided to go at first light.

The first one was the grandson’s we tracked him about 400 yards to the property line which was also the Alabama / Tennessee state line and couldn’t get permission to cross.

The second was the grandfather’s. It was short and sweet. Maggie found him in 2 minutes. The grandfather is 79 years old and still climbing up in ladder stand. I can only hope I’m able to when I get his age.

We went on a track Saturday night. After a little while we decided that she would live. We just got confirmation of that. She ended up being grazed on the neck.

::Please understand::

If you call us out to help find your deer.
For the safety of me and my dogs.

#1 I will ask you to leave your gun in your vehicle or at your house. I do not want me or my dogs getting shot by accident because someone gets excited and starts shooting.

#2 I know my dogs and how they work. Please stay behind me when I’m tracking a deer for you. I know when to stop and when to keep walking. If you get in front of me and try to keep up with my dogs you’re more than likely going to push them off the track and make it even more difficult to find the deer.

I understand it gets exciting and I don’t won’t to take that away from anyone especially for kids. I just want to have the safest and best outcome.

Thanks everyone.

May your arrows and bullets fly true. If they done just give us a call. We will be glad to assist you anyway we can.

It’s that time of year again. Maggie and I have got a late start to this season due to me working nights, but she’s ready to find all those deer.
We strive to find them all and to starve the coyotes as much as possible..
when down in doubt back out and give us a call.

Vet visit and shots today. Making sure they stay healthy is a big part of how a working dog performs.

Well that’s a rap.. I want to say thank you to everyone that trusted Maggie this season. I couldn’t be happier with her. We went 18 out of 24. Not really sure why we was so slow this year but she showed out on the ones we did get.
