Sporting Hounds Foundation of Tryon Sporting Hounds Foundation of Tryon hosts the Rig Gig, a fundraiser held annually at FENCE. Cash prizes and trophies are awarded.

SHFT is a 501 (c) 3 organization created to assist in the healthcare of senior pack hounds with a focus on research, testing and treatment of leishmaniasis disease which can affect all canines. Contestants towing their empty horse trailer navigate an obstacle course in a timed and judged competition that ends by backing into a parking stall.
