We couldn’t be more proud of these girls after this weekend!

They battled through 107° heat that felt like 111°, and they never stopped competing. They kept fighting, kept pushing, and kept playing for each other when it would’ve been easy to let the heat and exhaustion take over. 🔥

They got to see what they’re capable of when things get tough. Every inning, every rep, and every bit of adversity is helping build the team we know they can become.

And all that hard work is starting to show…

Kali #99 — Kali did a great job backing up 1st base and holding runners up from advancing. She was right where she needed to be and made a difference defensively! 👏🏼

Raeleigh #2 — Raeleigh did her job in the circle! She made an awesome catch on a hard line drive hit right back to her and had several hard-hit balls to the outfield! 🔥

⭐ Natives’ Choice MVP — Aaliyah #33

Aaliyah was an absolute baller in the outfield today! 🔥 From diving for a line drive to drop-stepping and tracking down pop flies, she went out there and did her job! 💪🏼

So proud of the battles these girls were tested with this weekend. They faced the heat, the pressure, and the adversity — and they kept fighting.

Our girls came out ready to play today and finished 2-1 in pool games! 🔥

We had some great defensive plays, a few home runs, and some really good at-bats throughout the day. These girls put in the work, battled, and are ready to GRIND tomorrow in bracket play! 💪🏼🥎

Scarlett had an awesome catch at 3rd and turned it into a double plays and several great hits to help get things going! 🔥

⭐ Pool Game 2 — Elsie #77
Elsie came up BIG with 2 Homeruns and made a couple of great stretches at first base to get outs! 💥

⭐ Pool Game 3 — Cora #67
Cora came through with a double in her last at-bat, bringing in 2 runs to finish the inning! 💪🏼

So proud of these kiddos and ALL of their teammates for the work they put in today!

FIRST TOURNAMENT OF THE SEASON — 2ND PLACE!

What a weekend for our CenTex Natives! 🪶🔥

The girls went 2-1 in pool play, earning the #2 seed. They won their first bracket game Saturday, then came back Sunday and battled through a dog fight of a game, pulling out a 6-5 win to advance to the championship!

We fought hard through the championship games and finished 2ND PLACE! 🥈

But more than the finish, we’re proud of the growth we saw all weekend. 💪🏼

✨ Learning new positions
✨ Learning to shift and adjust their bodies on different hits
✨ Building confidence in the box
✨ Solid, hard-hit balls
✨ We had 5 double plays throughout the weekend
✨ Most importantly — trusting themselves and each other

So much work has gone into these girls over the last few weeks, and seeing it come together this weekend was an awesome reward! ❤️

⭐ Bracket Game 1 — Elsie Alfaro #77
Elsie held it down at 1st base! She made an awesome backhand catch on a line drive that she had to reach for and then tagged the runner at first for a double play! 🔥👏🏼

⭐ Bracket Game 2 — Claire Stephenson #3
In the bottom of the 4th, Claire came up clutch with a double to the outfield that brought in two runs and gave us the lead! 💥🥎

⭐ MVP FOR THE WEEKEND — Raena Santellano #1
Raena came through with great clutch hits all weekend and held it down at shortstop! 🔥👏🏼

We still have plenty to work on, but these girls are hungry and ready for the next one! 💪🏼🔥
