The Team Virginia ladies ended their Spring/Summer season this weekend, coming in silver bracket runners-up at the 🍌Banana Ball Bash🍌 in Dublin! Way to go, ladies!

Time to take a couple of weeks off to rest, reset, and come back better than ever for the Fall season🥎

This past weekend, Team Virginia ladies competed in their first 16U Showcase Tournament. We faced incredible talent from start to finish, and while we didn’t come home with the win we were hoping for, we walked away with something just as valuable.

This team showed unwavering determination, grit, and heart. They never lost their stamina, never stopped competing, and battled through every inning of every game. That’s the kind of character that can’t be measured on a scoreboard.

Showcase weekends are about more than wins and losses. They’re about growth, exposure, and discovering who you are as a player and teammate. Our girls learned a lot about themselves, their goals, and what it will take to reach the next level. Those lessons will stay with them long after this weekend.

One of the moments we’re most proud of had nothing to do with softball. A coaching staff from one of the teams we played told us that Team Virginia Mizuno was the classiest team they had faced all weekend. We also received another compliment that our players and parents were kind and welcoming, and for those things, we couldn’t be more proud! Those things mean the world to us because they reflect the culture we’re building. We strive to compete with intensity, represent our organization with class, and honor the game by the way we treat others.

We’re proud of these young ladies, thankful for our amazing families, and excited to keep growing. The future is bright!
