We had the fastest car on the track all night, earning the pole, setting the fastest lap, and leading laps out front.

Unfortunately, a late-race caution changed everything. After getting turned around on the restart and sent to the back, we had our work cut out for us.

With only a handful of laps remaining, we charged back through the field to finish P8.

The speed is real. The results are coming.

Ever since I started racing, it’s been my dream to win at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Last night, that dream came true.. ☁️

The No. 9 had a huge opening night at the Cook Out Summer Shootout — Booth 34 Diecast Pole Award, AFCO Fastest Lap Award, and the win in Victory Lane! 🙌🏼

The Bandolero was a ROCKET. Thank you to the whole AK crew for giving me a car I could go win with!

Huge thank you to my Uncle for spending the day coaching me before the race — going over notes, lines, race craft. 🙌🏼 Having the Pro Spring Nats Champ in my corner is unfair 😅
