What a game, yes that score is right. We were THISCLOSE to winning against Adna. The girls were hitting amazing, including a home run by Jamie and a grand slam by Elly. Jordyn started the game with a home run in center that was stolen by an amazing catch by Adna, including centerfield falling over the fence as the ball went in her glove.
7 long innings. Nearly 3 hours. 198 pitches. Massive amounts of rain. Unfortunately we didn’t get the win but we were so close. Great game team!!
Competitive Game Ends In Walkoff As Toutle Lake Varsity Ducks Falls To 2026 Adna Varsity Pirates

Toutle Lake Varsity Ducks fell to 2026 Adna Varsity Pirates 23-22 on Friday at Fort Borst on the final play of the game. 2026 Adna Varsity Pirates were down 22-21 in the bottom of the seventh inning when TEAGAN BAGGENSTOS doubled, scoring two runs.
Despite the loss, Toutle Lake Varsity Ducks did collect 15 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, 2026 Adna Varsity Pirates had 20 hits on the way to victory.
Toutle Lake Varsity Ducks were the first to get on the board in the first when Karly Opsahl tripled, scoring one run.
A ground out by Jordyn Casi extended the Toutle Lake Varsity Ducks lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning.
Toutle Lake Varsity Ducks scored five runs on two hits in the top of the third inning. An error scored one run, and Elly Shetler hit a grand slam to center field.
2026 Adna Varsity Pirates scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning. CHARLIE MYERS doubled, scoring two runs, BAGGENSTOS doubled, scoring two runs, and KHLOE HUNT homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Toutle Lake Varsity Ducks flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring 10 runs on six hits to take the lead, 17-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Opsahl that drove in two.
Toutle Lake Varsity Ducks added five more runs in the top of the sixth inning on three hits. Jamie Veach hit a solo home run to left field, an error scored three runs, and Audrey Kilponen singled, scoring one run.
