Lacrosse end of season picnic today.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank so many who helped make this year a success.
To the coaches for always supporting and pushing all the boys to be the best they could be. To Kelly Will for helping me navigate being in charge of the booster club; to Tim Nelson who helped with basically everything for Senior night and the raffle to make it a success.
To Wendy Wolfe of Clark industries and Tim Hortons for multiple donations to senior night, the raffle, the end of season picnic… you are an amazing person and we would not have been so successful without you.
And to each and every player. This was one of the best seasons yet. Winning is not always what’s on the scoreboard. You played as a team and worked hard together to improve every single game.
Tonawanda being a small school means they play the small schools- schools whose players literally have the sport as part of their heritage. This season instead of not winning games the scores were closer than ever, the wolves scored every single game, and some games were won on the scoreboard.
Winning isn’t about the score- it’s about teamwork, hardwork, sportsmanship, and attitude.
