Comparison is a damn thief.
It steals your confidence before the game even starts. Some of y’all spend more time watching everyone else’s career than building your own.
STOP.
See someone dominate? Good. Respect it. Let it light a fire under your ass. But don’t you dare think you have to become them to be great.
That’s bu****it. There is ONE you. One personality. One story. One competitor.
The second you start chasing someone else’s identity, you stop building your own. The best athletes I’ve ever been around weren’t copies.
They were bold enough to be exactly who they were. Quit wishing for someone else’s talent. Go maximize your own.
Because the athlete you’re comparing yourself to? They’re too busy becoming the best version of themselves to worry about being you. Maybe it’s time you did the same.
