Good evening,

Tomorrow’s games will go as follows:

7th grade will play @ Perrysburg at 4:30pm. The game will take place at the Perrysburg varsity field located at 550 E South Boundary St, Perrysburg, OH 43551. The bus will leave immediately after the athletes have arrived at Jefferson and gathered all of their belongings from the lockerroom. Please ensure that all athletes have their entire uniform and all of their equipment for the game.

8th grade will play Perrysburg at 5:00pm at Whitmer High School. All athletes will take the busses to Jefferson and immediately report to the Jefferson Auditorium.

Good morning,

Today’s games are as follows:

7th grade: Today’s game is @ Anthony Wayne at 4:30pm. The address for the game is Anthony Wayne High School, 5967 Finzel Rd, Whitehouse, OH 43571. The bus will depart after the players have arrived to Jefferson and ready to go with all of their equipment.

8th grade: Today’s game against Anthony Wayne is at HOME. The game will start at 5:00pm. All athletes are expected to go to the Jefferson Auditorium once they arrive at the high school.

Both of today’s games are currently planning to play a 5th quarter. That means after the game is over, we will have the opportunity to play one more quarter with our backup athletes. The score of the game is finalized after the 4th quarter meaning the 5th quarter will not affect the game. The 5th quarter is subject to change depending on various factors but for now, both 7th and 8th grade teams are planning to play a 5th quarter.

We WILL have practice today 3:00-5:30. Athletes will be notified by the school that they are to report directly to Jefferson once their Bus arrives at Whitmer.

Today's practice will be in full accordance to ongoing recommendations by the athletic trainers, as we will remain in constant communication. How exactly practice will go is up in the air. We have plans for spending half of the practice period inside and the other half outside (potentially with helmets only) or worst case we remain fully inside throughout the entire practice period if that is what the athletic trainers ultimately decide. Nevertheless.... We will be having practice!

If we are to practice outside, we will keep it much lighter than our average practice and we will provide numerous opportunities for players to receive extended water breaks and go inside under adult supervision if needed.

Reminder: We will NOT have practice on Monday 9/7 in observance of Labor Day.

Both the 7th and 8th grade games today are CANCELLED. We will NOT be having practice. All athletes must take their normal mode of transportation home after school. As of right now, we plan to have a full practice tomorrow from 3:00-5:30 assuming the weather is not an issue.

A few important announcements below:

Tomorrow’s games:
Seventh grade game: 5:30 PM at Whitmer High School.
Eighth grade game: 4:30 PM at McCord Junior High in Sylvania. The team is playing the Northview Junior Cats, but it’s taking place at McCord Junior High.

In regards to the heat advisory for BOTH TEAMS: staff will know no later than 1pm tomorrow afternoon if the games are cancelled. If they are cancelled, players will hear the announcement over the intercom. Should the games be cancelled, there will NOT be practice after school for EITHER of the teams. Players will be expected to take their normal mode of transportation home.

If the games do take place:

Eighth graders will take their bus to Jefferson as normal. They will go to the locker room to gather their equipment, and immediately get on the away bus to McCord.

Seventh graders will take their bus to Jefferson as normal. They will then report directly to the Jefferson auditorium.

Due to the heat, please ensure that all athletes are well hydrated. Additionally they must have their entire uniform and all of the equipment to be able to play.

MONDAY: No school, no practice in observance of Labor Day.

TUESDAY: Practice as normal.

STAR ATHLETICS: Cards will be brought to the Jefferson Auditorium tomorrow for players who need to restock. Cash should be given to Coach Fatz in a labeled envelope.

Reminder: The 7th grade game is at Don Paul Stadium the Fremont Ross High School Football field at 4:30. The address for the field is 1072 Miller St, Fremont, OH 43420. The only gate that will be open is on the visitor side by the south end zone right off of Miller street.

The 8th grade game is at Whitmer High School at 5:30.

Good afternoon,

Tomorrow will go as follows:
7th grade will get their equipment immediately after arriving to the high school and then board the away bus to drive to Fremont. Fremont is aware of the potential of bus complications and it will be handled accordingly. The game is still scheduled for 4:30 at this time. Any athletes that fail to bring all of their equipment or uniform will not be able to play in the game.

8th grade will be bussed over to the high school and ALL athletes must go to the auditorium until warmups. They are permitted to use their phones, listen to headphones and eat snacks as needed.

Reminder: all athletes are to bring their game jerseys tomorrow for pictures. If athletes are purchasing a picture please ensure they have their money and order forms with them. We will NOT be using equipment during practice afterward. We will walk through plays. Afterward, Gold Athletics will speak to the players about a fundraising opportunity.

Hoping everyone had a great week! 7th grade had a great week of practices and 8th grade got a huge win against Liberty Benton!

This week will be as follows:

Monday: Normal practice 3:00-5:30 at Jefferson. Your athlete will be coming home with a photo order form for pictures on Tuesday. If you wish you buy pictures, your athlete MUST return the form on Tuesday with money AND a signature from their adult. More information below.

Tuesday: Pictures/practice/ gold athletics. Please bring GAME JERSEYS and practice uniforms. At the start of our normal practice time we will go to the turf to take our pictures in game uniforms. Then athletes will change into practice attire and equipment for practice. We will practice until 5:30. Directly after practice ends, Gold Athletics will talk to ALL athletes about our annual fundraising opportunity. This will take 20-25 minutes and will start at 5:30.

Wednesday: 7th Grade plays at Fremont Ross High School @ 4:30pm. The bus is scheduled to depart from Jefferson at 2:45pm.

8th Grade will play at Whitmer High School against Fremont Ross @ 5:30pm. All athletes are to report to Jefferson after they arrive to the high school. Athletes are permitted to use headphones and AirPods during free time before the game and are encouraged to bring a light snack.

Thursday: Film/walk through/cardio/recovery from 3:00-4:30.

Reminder:
Practice is 3:00-4:30 today for both 7th and 8th grade. We will not be using pads. We will walk through plays and do recovery exercises. Athletes who attended school today were provided with bus passes that will allow them to get off their normal bus and attend practice. Athletes who do not ride a bus will be directed to a football specific bus. Those who did not have school today will be given their bus passes at practice today.
