📢🚨BREAKING NEWS: Astronaut Lands Coach Wyllie!!! 🏀🚀
Astronaut High School is incredibly excited to introduce our Head Boys Basketball Coach Casey Wyllie! Coach Wyllie arrives with a reputation as a builder of programs, a developer of young men, and a coach whose experience stretches across every major level of competitive basketball. His career began in Illinois and carried him through NCAA Division I, NJCAA Division I, and high‑level high school basketball, shaping him into a leader who understands how to elevate athletes on and off the court. From his early years at Louisiana Tech and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he supported scouting, recruiting, and player development at the Division I level, to his rise as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Olney Central College, Wyllie has consistently produced teams that compete with discipline and purpose. At Olney, he guided the program to wins over nationally ranked opponents, coached a 2nd Team All‑American and Region 24 Co‑Player of the Year, and led his teams to some of the highest GPAs in NJCAA Division I, producing eight Academic All‑Americans along the way.
His connection to the Space Coast runs even deeper through his time at Eastern Florida State College, where he served as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. There, he helped guide EFSC to a 27–5 record, a Region 8 Citrus Co‑Conference Championship, and the development of the NJCAA Division I Player of the Year. His most recent role at Orangewood Christian School continued that trajectory of success, contributing to a 20‑win season, the second most in school history, and a 2A District 4 Region Runner‑Up finish while mentoring multiple All‑District players. Throughout every stop, Wyllie has been known for his integrity, his passion for teaching the game the right way, and his ability to build relationships that create real opportunities for student‑athletes at the next level.
Now, as he steps into the role of Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at Astronaut High School, Coach Wyllie brings a championship‑minded approach rooted in discipline, accountability, and a clear vision for elevating War Eagle Basketball. He is launching a comprehensive Summer Basketball Program immediately, setting the tone for a new era defined by energy, structure, and a commitment to excellence. Coach Wyllie is eager to become part of the Astronaut community and to build a program that reflects the values he has carried throughout his career.
