Tipton Archery 🏹 over the weekend was a success with new state Qualifiers, PRs, top 5 placings. I am beyond proud of these archers for never giving up, pushing themselves to be better. Archery isn't just shooting arrows, it takes so much drive, skill, patience, time, and passion to be successful. Every tournament is different, every year is a new year. Archery is not like any other sport. Each year as you grow taller, gain more muscle, as your body changes, you retrain and redevelop skills to be a great archer. These archers come out wanting to take it to the next level. They accomplish one level, then strive to meet the next goal. As parents, spectators, non Archery lovers, I challenge you all to pick up their bow and give it a try. It's not as easy as it looks. I do just that, I can coach and tell them everything they need to do or not to do, but there are so many things that an archer has to focus on, remind themselves every time they step up to the line and shoot each arrow 🏹. These archers are truly amazing kids and I am so amazed each week, each tournament to see the smiles on their face when they meet a goal or an accomplishment. To be able to be there and experience it with them and their families is a blessing. I have developed a true love for this sport and will always stand by it, Archery is a SPORT. I love this saying, it is so true: It's okay if you don't like Archery...it's kind of a smart people sport anyway. Archery takes so much of the mind to develop into the archer they become. An archers brain is ALWAYS thinking a multitude of things at one time...
Well now that I have challenged you all and pumped you up to understand the minds of these incredible archers let's get down to the accomplishments they achieved over the weekend in Latham & Otterville...
