Thanks to Heitmeyer Concrete, this Saturday's race at Millstream Speedway will pay $1,000 to win, $150 to start for the USAC Midwest Thunder Midgets presented by Performance Electronics, Ltd.. Its Family Fun Night so bring the kids and support local dirt track racing at this iconic Findlay Ohio speedway. We will be joined by the Great Lakes Super Sprints, Great Lakes Lightning Sprints, trucks and Late Models. Open pits from 4-5 to meet the drivers!

Lawrenceburg Recap:

First off, what a night of racing! The weather was perfect and I was so happy that my Dad and Uncle came to race with us.

We started the night with qualifying 4th fastest in our group.

Started P1 in the heat race and finished P7 after I slipped in turn 2 and just about junked the car but was able to save it.

Started P27 in the feature and was able to make our way to P16 by the end. The +11 had us tied for the Hard Charger award for the night but the tie breaker was finishing position and the #99 beat us out of it by 4 spots.

For our second night in the midget on one of the baddest tracks around, it felt like a win!

A huge thank you to our partners at Force Frontier. Thank you C.j. Zimmerman for the hard work in the pits.

The Klein Racing , Force Frontier midget will be back in action this weekend (8/22) at the historic Lawrenceburg Speedway with the USAC Midwest Thunder Midgets.

This is a short trip for our local friends and family so please come join us if you can and enjoy some great racing on the high banks of “The Burg”.

RACE RECAP:

First off, I would like to thank all the folks from USAC Midwest Thunder Midgets that stopped by to introduce themselves and welcome us to the series. Truly good people that I look forward to racing with.

As for our night, it went well considering Saturday was the first competitive laps we have logged in the car.

We fought the handling in the heat race, the car was incredibly loose on corner exit resulting in failing to transfer into the feature event.

We then started 10th in the B and got going in the right direction. I believe I was racing for 5th when I just flat ran out of talent and spun out trying to turn under the 5th place car which put us on the tail with one lap to go and that is where we finished.

All in all it was a good night. We gained valuable data, experience in the seat and we loaded the car back in the trailer in one piece!

A special thanks to my wife Deseree Klein for supporting me and a special thanks to my “remote crew chief” Kyle Klein for calling the adjustments from Arizona and C.J. Zimmerman who was on-site helping spin wrenches. Also thank you to our partners at Force Frontier! Truly could not have done it without all of you.
