Come on down to WRMS to watch Norko Electric take on Concord Buffalo Wild Wings for the competitive 8U playoff FINALS! It’s a beautiful night to watch softball and these two teams have battled to get to this point!

Our 12/14u played in the playoffs last night and came up short. We are bummed that it was our last game for the season but let’s chat about this real quick….

This group of 14 girls are amazing, resilient and downright AWESOME 🤩

I swear every practice or game scheduled, it rained! So not a lot of time together.

We played in CAP Seniors, which is the 16u division. We don’t have any girls over 14!

We rotated positions to learn! If a girl says hey coaches, I want to try second base. Ok in you go! Not all the time, but overall the goal was to help the grow as players and we have a firm belief on this team that you only get there by trying it!

We had SO MUCH GROWTH! We learned coverage, smart base running, plays, listening skills and trust! We made some outright crazy plays, what we call “all the glory”! Diving for balls and pushing our range. We swung for the fences and man, when our bats were hot, they were scorching! 🔥

We had great team spirit! How can you not when you are pink ice cream cones!

Coach Sam and I are so proud of each one of these girls! We were not 14 separate girls, we were one big team!

Please watch for next year. The goal is now that we are in CAP, we want to invite the girls up to age 16. Even if they play school ball, we work around it. Hopefully there is more for the Winni JV next year, they tried to get them games this year but there’s not many other JV programs. We want to bridge that gap! And now we can! More reps is always a good thing!

One more note…. We appreciate all the parents on this team! You all were flexible, kind, and supportive of everything! I really hope you had a good season with us! We had a lot of fun! Go pink go! 🩷 🖤 🥎

Got the word that 10u’s semi-finals will be played against Bow at Gordon Field on Albin Rd this Saturday at 11:00am! If you can, head on out to see them! They have improved a lot this season and it shows!

Norko Electric 8u is heading to the finals! It was a close one, coming down to the final inning, all tied up as they got up to bat and brought one in to walk it off! Way to go girls!

Winnisquam will be hosting the finals next Tuesday at the middle school! We will have concessions and it’s sure to be a good game!
