Did you know you can participate in the Cyber Sniffing Games Program AND the Traditional Cyber Scent Work Program? You are not locked into one program or the other! Additionally, there are countless ways of customizing the experience so it works for both YOU and YOUR dog.

For instance, your instructor may apply to become a fully approved Evaluator and then schedule an in-person assessment event. Very exciting! They choose to offer (1) Look Up 4' Game (which includes 3 total searches) and (2) Traditional Interior searches, one search at the Novice level and the other at the Master level.

In this example, you can then decide:
- what you enter
- what your dog hunts for (in the Game, this can be food, toys, paired odor, odor or scented articles and in the Traditional search this can be food, paired odor or odor)
- whether the hides will be known or blind to you in the Look Up Game

Let's say that you choose to enter the Game and the Master Interior search and you decide your dog will hunt for odor hides. If you qualify in all those searches, you will earn your Look Up 4' Game title (GB-L4) and a qualifying score toward your Interior Master Odor Element title (I-M). WOOHOO!

But after this event, you may find yourself itching for more. You want to earn that Element title! But you need two more qualfying scores...what to do?!

No worries, you can submit an online entry instead! Partner with your classmates who can act as your assistant, designing, filming and officiating the search so you can run it blind with your dog. You would then submit this online entry to Cyber Scent Work to review and score. If you qualified in both searches, you will earn your Interior Master Odor Element title (I-M).

They provided a TON of information, a plethora of excellent video examples, outlined the way we as humans communicate to our dogs, whether we mean to or not, and how to be more purposeful and effective with our handling aka communication...SO MUCH GOODNESS!

W-O-W! Tony Gravley knocked it out of the park with his odor theory webinars. He provided a TON of information that will benefit dog handlers, instructors, trainers and trial officials alike.

The first webinar, Oh No, What Happened to My Hide! Part 1 Webinar, focused on how the common target odors behave (Birch, Anise, Clove and Cypress was discussed too for AKC Scent Work fans), the affect of using various odor vessels, environmental factors and more.

The second webinar, Oh Wow, Thta is Really Moving! Part 2 Webinar, discussed odor movement and what to consider when we are attempting to design our searches. For instance, what to consider when setting an inaccessible or elevated hide.

QUESTION: How do I enroll in a live webinar or webinar replay?

ANSWER: Great question! We make the process as easy as possible for you.

1. Create a free account on the Cyber Scent Work site if you haven't already.
2. Go to the LEARNING screen to see all the live webinars and webinar replays we currently have available.
3. Choose either the live webinar or webinar replay and submit your payment.
4. You will then be directed to your MY LEARNING page. This will list all the webinars you are currently enrolled in. Click on WATCH to see a particular webinar replay.

Here is a short tutorial video walking through how to create a free account, find the listing of webinars, purchase a webinar and access the replay. Additionally, this tutorial demonstrates what this process looks like on a mobile device as well as a computer.

Odor theory is always so fascinating to so many folks, but let’s dive into why odor is doing what it is doing.

In this webinar, Tony will isolate and explain odor movement such as pooling, channeling and converging. Hide placement is critical not only in training but even more so in setting hides for trials.

Theory is great, but there always seems to be a difference between theory and reality. Therefore, Tony will break down why odor moves the way it does and how to accomplish the set up you are after.

Tony will clarify some fancy terms related to odor and take the mystery out of why the odor is moving the way it is. Accessible, inaccessible and elevated hides, all the basics, and then add in how to work them into the different types of more complex set ups such as converging, pooling and crazy stuff like chimney effect.

This webinar is a Part 2 of a two-part series. Part 2 will focus more on the theories behind odor movement.

An ENORMOUS "Thank You" to Tony Gravley for his Oh No, What Happened to My Hide! Part 1 Webinar where he talked all about what to consider to ensure your hide doesn't suddenly go rogue.

There was SO MUCH information in this presentation, almost too much to list:
- how the various essential oils behave and what to consider
environmental factors and how odor may move when interacting with them
- how odor will escape differently from different odor vessels
ways to choose an odor vessel for a specific objective or goal
- why hides may suddenly go rogue
- a handy-dandy acronym to remember when designing your searches to ensure your hides behave as much as possible
