Cross season has wrapped up for most competitors, which means it time for many of us to take a break from training. The off season can be, for some much needed, or dreaded.
Two weeks off the bike is standard, followed by some cross training and varied, unstructured, endurance exercises. Personally, I'm on week 1 of the two weeks off the bike and I'm going crazy! Which is a good sign. Motivation is high, fitness was good coming into the break and most of all, I wasn't burnt out.
But to come into the off season and to get the 2015/16 cyclocross season off on the right foot, it all begins with a plan.
