What a season. What a group of boys.
When we started this season, we made it clear we were buying in to the realness of “travel ball.” The long nights, the hard work, the dedication and determination it would take to succeed, and this group was all in. From January to June, we traveled from Gulfport, MS to Panama City Beach, FL. Played in 9 tournaments, faced 22 opponents from 6 different states, finished 26-11 with 2 finalist finishes and a Championship.
Then this week they spent 4 days fighting and clawing their way to earn a spot in the Perfect Game World Series Gold Bracket Championship Game where they finished as Finalists. They faced some of the best 7U talent in the country and fell short after battling all day to a very talented Primetime Team from McKinney, TX. Their resilience, their fight, their love for this game, they never once gave up.
But the best part of this season wasn't the wins or the rings, it was the friendships. These boys became more than teammates; they became brothers. Through long weekends, road trips, big wins, and tough losses, they learned how to support one another and genuinely love being together. Strong foundations, keep steady. We are looking forward to a nice break and a great start in 8U this fall.
