The Bison came out hot building a 7-0 lead through five innings, scoring two runs in the first, one in the third, one in the fourth, and three more in the fifth. The Thunder battled back, tying the game at 7 all with a three-run sixth, two runs in the seventh, and two more in the eighth.
With the game tied in the top of the ninth, the Bison put together a dramatic five-run inning — all with two outs.

After the next two hitters were retired, Steve Lloyd came to the plate with two on, two out, and a 3-2 count. Lloyd blasted a double to left-center field, scoring two runs and giving the Bison a 9-7 lead.
The Thunder then intentionally walked Carlos Padilla, putting runners on first and second. Vinny Zarrella then added another insurance run with a hard-hit double that scored Rima, putting the Bison ahead 12-7.
Bison starting pitcher Barry Foster had another impressive outing. He held the Thunder scoreless in the bottom of the ninth, going the distance, and picking up the playoff win on the mound.
The Village Bison pounded out 23 hits in the victory.
