September 12, 2026 with The VDBB.
A nice weather start with a hint of autumn ( for awhile)
But…..being Florida it warmed up quickly and so did the action.
Typical fashion is for close games that seesaw back and forth with the lead.
The winning team of Phil-a-Buster, Angling Angie and Bocce Bob outlasted their competitors.
Only two weeks remaining until the start of THE TROPHY SEASON.
(tip) Be there as much as you can thru April 3rd 2027 for a chance to win the Championship Trophy.
See you at Burnsed Recreation next Saturday at 9am.

The Victory Drive Bocce bunch the last week of August and first of September a little behind due to the PR guy unavailable.
Booce returns Saturday September 12 at 9 am at Burnsed Recreation.
Only 3 more weeks left of the non points summer session.
October 3, 2026 starts the new Trophy season which runs until Saturday April 3, 2027.
Approximately two weeks after that will be the annual awards day and brunch / lunch. Plans are to repeat the knockout tournament again as it was a huge success, enjoyed by all , with the 100% certified underdog winning the trophy proving anything can happen on a given day. 😉
So get your practice in on these last weeks and then come as often as possible and compete for a Championship.

The Victory Drive Bocce Bunch continues through the summer. This morning started off a tad cooler at 9am but in typical Florida fashion zoomed up as the sun cleared the clouds.
Two games were played. Winners played winners and the weasers….. I mean losers played for 3rd place.
Good times as always with the folks who play Bocce each week.
Autumn cooler weather ( at least in the morning) is around the corner.
See you at Burnsed Recreation on Saturday at 9.

Very wet Bocce surface from yesterday’s heavy rain.
The Victory Drive Bocce Bunch
A beautiful morning to compete in Bocce games.
This week saw the return of Say it Ain’t so Joe and Joe Jr.
Four teams of three meaning we walk to rotate players. Nothing new.
The weather was cooperative in that it was not blistering hot plus the trees provided shade when you were on that end of the court.
The winners today were the commissioners Bocce Bob and Krafty Karen and Pr man The Osceola Rolla.
We cheesed out a little and played the second game to six points as it was getting a bit warm for the young players.
In just seven weeks we begin the next Trophy Season.
Better get your practice in while you can.

The heat of the summer has set in and those hearty players keep coming back week after week.
It was at least 90 degrees with a feels like around 104 degrees.
But our players competed and beat the rain this week.
It was not unexpected with a team of The Purple Passion…. Krafty Karen and Big Money Jim competing together that they would take top honors.
In just 8 weeks the Trophy season begins again.
The Victory Drive Bocce Bunch would like to see all the players of the past come on back and try for that hardware. The trophies are getting bigger and bigger every year. Yes…. those quarters add up.
Before you know it we will be having that awards day following the April 3rd final day.
The key is to compete as possible. The point system will be explained for the October 3rd opening day.
Now is a good time to hone your skills.
So y’all come back now and join your friends and neighbors.

Mid-summer Bocce with the Victory Drive Bocce Bunch continues every week.
This day was hurried up due to impending rain.
Just two months until the start of the trophy season.
Can Phil-a-Buster make it back to back championships?
Will the old master Big Money Jim take it back or will Surgical Steve win it instead?
Purple Passion aka The Joyler, past champ is always in the hunt. And then there is unlikely Mikey….. the winner of the knockout tournament….. is he going to surprise everyone again?
This is a wonderful Bocce group that plays what we call
“social Bocce”
No fixed teams …… no weekly commitment….. just a fun time with neighbors and friends.
Continuously organized and run by Bocce Bob and krafty Karen for nine years.
This is a good time to show up for some pre-season practice to try and win the big trophy!

July 11, 2026 with the Victory Drive Bocce Bunch.
Mid summer smaller participants but the super core players keep the games going at Burnsed Recreation.

The games continue Saturday’s at 9 am.

June 20, 2026 with the Victory Drive Bocce Bunch at Burnsed recreation.
The weekly games continue through the summer.
Although it was a bit hot…. the competition was hotter. In game one … the expertise of past champion Big Money Jim provided the winning roll.
They then went on to dominate in game 2 and were victorious for the day.
Phil-a-Buster and Rolling Rosie brought visiting son Tim to play.
The games continue weekly at 9 am.
Don’t forget…. bring your bathing suit and cool off in the pool after playing.

Phil- a Buster ….. the current champion has been filling in for me taking photos of the weekly action.
Hopefully I’ll be recovered soon and can resume the Bocce activities.
