Hello Gila Valley! My name is Nate Porter, and my family and I moved to the area last May. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be starting private baseball lessons for players of various ages and skill levels.

I’ve played baseball my entire life and have spent the past five years coaching, including helping lead two state championship teams in Nevada. I’m also the parent of three baseball players, so I understand the importance of skill development, confidence, and a love for the game.

Now that we’ve made Gila Valley home, I’m excited to help local players grow their skills, build fundamentals, and enjoy their own baseball journey.

My name is Nate Porter, and I have over five years of experience coaching high school and youth baseball. At the high school level, I served as an Assistant Varsity coach and Head JV coach as part of a staff that won two State Championships. In my role as Head JV coach, my primary focus was developing players and preparing them to successfully contribute at the Varsity level.

In addition to my on-field experience, I hold a master’s degree in Sports Management with an emphasis in Coaching Theory and Strategy. My graduate studies provided advanced training in leadership, technique, strategy, and player development. I believe coaching goes beyond X’s and O’s, and I strive to create an environment where players can improve their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game while continuing to grow as athletes and teammates.

About the Program

Private baseball instruction focused on fundamentals, confidence, and long-term player development. Lessons are tailored to each athlete’s age and skill level, serving players ages 4–18, from beginners to advanced high school athletes.

Development is built through consistent instruction, proper feedback, and a positive learning environment. Each lesson meets the athlete where they are and helps them progress at an appropriate pace for their age and experience.
