Gators 16U West We are a 16U girls travel softball team based out of Terre Haute, IN.

Our focus is skill development and relationship building, so that our female athletes can be successful both on and off the field.

This weekend officially kicked off our jump from 14U to 16B at the September Showdown in Champaign, Illinois.

We finished the day 1–2, but the record doesn’t tell the whole story. There is an abundance of talent and potential with this group. With a few new faces, a higher level of competition, and a team making adjustments - we know it’s going to take some time to settle in.

The Gators West out of Terre Haute will be holding open practices July 23rd and 30th. We are a 3 year team that will be aging up to 16uB. We are looking to add pitching and catching depth as well as additional utility players, but all positions will be considered as our goal is to push and challenge our athletes! Knocked out in Game 1 this morning, but what a ride this week has been. ❤️🐊

These girls went from barely hanging in there early in the week, to going 3-0 on Friday and earning their spot in the Top 8. They battled through the heat, the setbacks, the tough losses, and the pressure, and they never stopped showing up for each other.

It’s been a season full of learning, growth, resilience, and banding together when life gets rocky. This team found ways to keep fighting, keep believing, and (maybe most importantly) keep laughing.

Some tears were shed this morning, and that’s okay. As grown-ups watching from the cheap seats, we know the grand finale stings a little because it all mattered.

Thank you to everyone involved for the memories, the laughs, the grit, and the determination. We couldn’t be more proud of the young athletes and teammates our players are becoming.

This season may be over, but the lessons and memories will last long after the final out.
