The mentality around "no excuses" in the fitness realm is over used and overrated. I believe it's ok to have an excuse, we all deal with things mentally, emotionally and physically daily that others don't or won't understand nor some will never walk in the same pair of shoes as you. I'm a person who is stubborn and strong and when pushed, I get s**t done no matter what! But that's not always a good thing. The fitness folks who push "no excuses" talk need to shush it...If you are on a budget, it's ok to not buy all the supplements they push. If you work multiple jobs and drained, it's ok to not have to train 14 times a week like they do since they don't have your responsibilities. It's ok to not live out of a Tupperware and eat something a little off plan. Sometimes you lost some time making breakfast for the kids that you forgot your prepped meals. When you hear "no excuses" and fail, you're more harder on yourself, you feel like a failure and that is not true...what do I say? As long as your heart beats, you never quit..its ok to slow down, its ok to stop for awhile but we never quit! Next time someone tells you that, ask them why? I can always have an excuse to not do something, I personally push myself pretty hard and the sad part about that is...that could do more harm than good if I'm not careful. That's the honest truth! So push yourself, but do it for the right reasons that fit your lifestyle! Sorry for the long post 😅 but let me know do you agree or disagree?
