Yesterday marked the final game for two of our absolute best: Isabella Smith and Emma Williams. They showed up with unstoppable energy, unmatched grit, and a love for the game that lifted everyone around them. I'm very thankful for the time we were allowed to spend together. Moments like yesterday remind us of what this is really about: the relationships formed, the people that we meet, and the love of the game. Everyone's playing career ends at some point, but the relationships last a lifetime.
Thank you for leaving your hearts on the field and for setting a standard of excellence that has inspired us all. The game is better because you played it, and we can’t wait to see you crush whatever comes next. Once a teammate, always a teammate. We love you both.
With the bittersweet end, also comes a new beginning. Three of our new players got to step onto the field for their very first games together with the team. Addie Howard, Alexis Farley and Kenley Dunn, already making an impact all over the field, at the plate and in the dugout. It's a true blessing to have families and players with likeminded goals, grit and grind to see this journey thru.
Sometimes, you just have to take a minute to pause, sit back and smile at the folks God puts in our lives. Truly thankful for the families and players that have been here since the beginning, for the new families and relationships and for our entire Unity softball family. You all are just awesome. On to the next chapter. LET'S GOOOO! 🥎💪🏻🥎
