The Spencer County KY Lead Slingers traveled to the 2026 AIM Grand Trapshoot this week. It was very hot, but lots of fun! We are so proud!

We did not come home with awards, but everyone did well and survived the heat!

The Spencer County KY Lead Slingers had a great experience at the 2026 Kentucky AIM Championship earlier this month!

We took 10 athletes and they either won awards, shot their first straight, or shot their personal best!

The Spencer County KY Lead Slingers had a great showing at the 2026 Kentucky SCTP State Competition in June.

We had 9 athletes compete and every single one of them brought home an individual and/or team award!

We had a great day at the Indian Creek John Seitz Memorial Trap shoot! We had 7 athletes participate and 3 took home awards!

Saturday and Sunday we participated in the Central Kentucky Gun Clubs Memorial Day Shoot.

We took 11 athletes and 8 of them received awards!
Of the 11, some had never shot a competition of that size, some just started shooting Handicap and Doubles, and many shot their personal best!

It was an amazing weekend! We had so much fun hanging out with all of our families, and we are so proud of everyone!

Friday we celebrated the Spencer County KY Lead Slingers high school seniors of 2026!

🎓Thomas Elrod is spending the summer commercial salmon fishing in Alaska then will attend JCTC pursuing a degree in airplane maintenance this Fall.

🎓Hunter Nagle is currently employed as a mechanic at O’Brien Ford.

🎓Braelyn Willen will attend EKU with a double major in fire protection engineering and fire arson explosion investigation.
