Our 2026 Season has come and gone and what an amazing season it was. In the game of baseball, you win some and you lose some and this year wasn’t our year to win the Championship, however we had a wonderful season!
We have to give thanks and glory to God because He kept us going. This organization isn’t just about being at the baseball field, there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes and he hears our prayers and we are so grateful for that.
Thank you to the Town of Tarboro for having us back for year number 7. For the past 7 years we have watched this town come together to support our Bandits. We are so blessed to call Tarboro, Home of the River Bandits.
Thank you to the City of Police for being there and keeping our fans and players safe. Your presence is always welcomed. Watching great baseball and protecting our stadium, can’t get any better than that! Again, thank you!!
Thank you to the Tarboro Municipal Stadium Preservation Foundation for all of the hard work and ideas to help improve Municipal Stadium. We are grateful and appreciative for your willingness to improve this beautiful historical stadium.
What do you do when you go to a ballgame, you eat! Our Bandits BBQ Shack is amazing and we are so blessed to have an amazing cooking staff! Not only are they cooking, they are entertaining and they love every minute of it. Their dedication is outstanding and we thank you! Joey, Tim, Brooks, Ervin, Fred, Keith and Chris…thank you!! We always look forward to spending our summer with you guys!
I’ll have to say, we have the best staff in town!! They are all amazing and everywhere you go, someone is smiling! We are so blessed and fortunate to have amazing people! Kendall, Camden, Seth, Emma, Katie, Ramzie, Abby, Savannah, Emily, Shannon, Payton Clark, Katelyn, Payton Whitley, Jayden, Allison…thank you! You all are definitely a blessing to us!
Thank you to the ones you always heard but rarely saw…Our Press Box can be very entertaining and you guys rocked it again this summer. Kevin, Dominic, Jason…thank you for spending your summer nights in Tarboro!
This year our attendance was record breaking and that’s because our Fans showed up! Thank you for showing your support and spending your hot summer nights with us. Over the past 7 years, we have gotten to know so many of you guys and we always look forward to seeing you! Thank you again for your support and for cheering for our River Bandits!
Host Families, this wouldn’t be possible without you guys! Thank you for opening up your homes and welcoming our Bandits. At the beginning, you start out as strangers but by the end of the summer, you end up as family. We appreciate you all!
We appreciate all of the sponsors this season that supported us. There are to many to announce but we are grateful for you all!
Tarboro Chamber High Five was always fun to watch. You never knew who Dave Sharpe was bringing to the field to interview. Thank you Dave for this entertaining moment and thank you for always supporting the River Bandits!
You know you’re VIP when you have your assigned seat by the dugout…Thank you Mr John for keeping stats and for the pictures you took. You never missed a beat and we appreciate all that you do!
With our 39-5 record, our coaches put in countless hours to help make this possible! We were blessed to have Head Coach, Chris Day back with us this summer. Thank you Chris for pouring your heart out to this team. Former Bandit Player from 2022, James Moses was our Assistant Coach this season and we appreciate you coming back to Tarboro and helping out. Thank you to Aiden and Kaleb for your hard work and dedication as well. We were so blessed to have an amazing staff of coaches!
Can’t have a baseball team without players! With a roster of 40 players and 15 of those were returners, that says a lot. Thank you players for spending your summer in Tarboro! You all battled some major heat, few days off and lots of popsicles and we couldn’t have asked for better team. You all walked in as strangers (for the most part) but walked away as family. Thank you parents for allowing your kid to spend the summer with us. We hope they had enjoyed themselves!
Thank you to our children, Jason and Allison for loving this as much as we do! They look forward to this every year and sacrifice their time to be there. We have always said, this is a family owned organization and it’s the truth. They both play a special role in the day to day operations!
Again, we are just so thankful for you all and thankful to call Tarboro, Home of the River Bandits! See you all in 2027!
