The 18U C Taneytown Monarchs are a competitive fastpitch softball team built on dedication, teamwork, and love for the game. Representing Taneytown with pride, our athletes bring energy, hustle, and heart to every practice and every game. Guided by coaching staff Karli Burriss, Stephanie Clavell, Katie Smalls, Alex Cooper and John McDonough, the Monarchs focus on developing strong fundamentals, advanced skills, and a positive team culture. Together, they prepare players to succeed on and off the field, emphasizing sportsmanship, leadership, and growth. The Monarchs are more than a team-we’re a family, committed to working hard, supporting each other, and striving for excellence every time we take the field.

Sometimes the best moments don’t happen between the chalk lines.

When the rain rolls in, these girls don’t let it dampen their spirits. They laugh, joke around, make memories, and remind us that softball is about so much more than wins and losses. It’s about friendships, teamwork, and making the best of what is thrown at you.

We’ll wait out the weather together, then get right back to doing what we love. 🌧️ 🥎

Monarchs win over DMV Dream Sunday, 9-2. Spotlight goes to Sophia Miller who had a great game with an epic catch in outfield and a fiery at bat triple bringing in two runs!

The girls walked away all wins from last weekend’s battle against the Hickory Hornets.

Game 1 ended in a commanding 14-6 victory, followed by another strong performance in Game 2 with a 9-4 win.

A few standout moments from game 2:
