๐งโโ๏ธ ๐ Youโve probably noticed that we place emphasis on pranayama (breathing exercises) in every yoga session. This is with very good reason. Pranayama is the gateway to the yoga practice; the connection to the present moment and the path to meditation. There are real physical benefits as well. We donโt talk of scientific studies often but there have been studies done which have documented the benefits of Nadi Shodana aka Alternate Nostril breathing which have documented a decrease in heart rate and blood pressure with regular and sustained practice.
