Herzog’s 14U team came to play yesterday! They ended 4-1 on the day, scoring 47 runs offensively.

They made it to the championship game in the “A” bracket by beating the #1 seed (the only team that handed them a loss in their 1st game).

They took the lead in the first inning of the championship before a lightning delay. The decision was made to call the game and end the tournament.

While we weren’t able to definitively bring it all the way home, these ladies played like champs. We know they would have brought the final “W” had the weather cooperated.

Huge congrats to this group and what a way to start the 2026 season.

What a day to remember for Ms Walker! In addition to her perfect game, she also had her career 1st home run (with many more to come)!

WOW!!!!! Battery’s own Kayden Walker threw a PERFECT GAME - No hits, no walks, 7 K’s and gets the “W” for the 12-0 win! This lefty dominated game 2. Way to go Walker!

The Battery will start their 3rd pool play game shortly.

Herzog’s 14U Battery team is excited to announce that Lovie Pustejovsky, class of 2031, has joined our organization.

Lovie is an amazing all around athlete, a true utility player with tremendous speed, and will add depth to our pitching staff as well.

🥎 14U ORGANIZATION PRACTICE & OPEN TRYOUT

Battery Fastpitch 14U-Herzog and Battery Fastpitch 14U-Powell are hosting a combined organization practice this Sunday! We are looking for experienced 14U pitchers and catchers to join our rosters for the 2026 season.

Even if you have tried out with us before, we invite you to come back out for a check-in and work with our coaches again.

What We Offer:
- We intentionally carry small sized rosters to ensure plenty of playing time and reps.

Battery 14U - Herzog is looking for a 2011 or strong 2012 pitcher to join our roster for the 2026 Spring/Summer season.

Our group is unique—prior to this opening, we had zero roster changes over the last 24 months. We are a tight-knit, fun-loving team that values stability, strong work ethic, and shared success.

The Fit:
Balanced Workload: We prioritize arm health. Our Fall stats (16-11-1 record) show a very even split of innings and pitch counts across our pitching staff.

The Total Ballplayer: We carry a small roster for maximum playing time. We’re looking for a teammate who also wants to contribute at the plate and in the field.

Consistency: We’re lucky to have our own facility and reliable access to private fields for weekly work.

We are looking for a competitor who wants a stable, supportive home to grow in.

Schedule isn’t set but we intend to participate in DC Elite, USSSA and PGF tournaments as well as competitive scrimmages.

Battery-Herzog 14U is heading to their final tournament of the season. Schedule is set, 4 pool play games before bracket. It’s gonna be a tough day, but they couldn’t be any more ready to show out and end the season strong.
