Let's Start a New Post-Game Tradition at FSU

Let's Start a New Post-Game Tradition at FSU FSU needs a post-game traditions at football games. We should have a post-game tradition after the end of the game. What do you guys think?

I suggest we sing and sway to the "Hymn to the Garnet and the Gold" with the Marching Chiefs and the football team in front of the student sections immediately after the game. Seems like every team has a cool song they chant and/or sway together and to the student section after a win (usually the alma mater). For me it's one of the best traditions in college football and I think it's sorely missin

g after FSU games. I myself suggest section after a win (usually the alma mater). I myself suggest "Hymn to the Garnet and the Gold" (the marching chiefs already sing and sway to this song after a victory but almost no one is in the stadium anymore. I think they can lead the charge here, they already do a great job, just youtube it. It is awesome and even emotional) or maybe some other song (considering not many know the real alma mater). I know that UF started doing something to this extent starting in 2005 and they didn't even know the words to the songs they were singing before they started the tradition. It's not like we would be copying something like the siren (which is Miami's first) or something, this is something widely done across the country, so we wouldn't and couldn't be accused of copying another school. I'm tired of us just leaving after a win when we could celebrate with a great new tradition.

Some people have been asking for the lyrics to the "Hymn to the Garnet and the Gold". Here it is:
Here's a hymn to the Garnet and Gold, ringing to the sky.
Here's a song for the men and women bold. Sing with heads held high.
Striving ere to seek to know, Fight for victory.
Alma Mater, this our song to you. Echoes, F.S.U.

Clemson does this as well...
For those asking, this was done on the road, which is why there were less people. When done at home, it's obviously done to a bigger crowd.

Clemson fans and football team sing the Clemson alma mater after beating NCSU 43-23 on November 14, 2009.

Notre Dame has been singing the alma mater since 1923, but the football team has only been coming on the field since 2005. I'm not saying we need to copy them (TRUST ME, I HATE NOTRE DAME!), but just LOOK at how many fans are in the stands post game! And wins/loses are not an excuse! Help us make this happen.

one of the best college football post game traditions in the sport.

Okay, here's my thought. We have right at three weeks to get the word out and end the 2010 season on a fantastic note. Any and all current students/alumni/fans, GET THE WORD OUT. We want EVERYONE to stay post game after the Chick-Fil-A bowl and join the Marching Chiefs in singing/enjoying the Hymn to the Garnet and the Gold.
