Traveling Recreational Teams (U7-U14) Program Details:

The registration fee for these teams is higher due to increased costs associated with NYSL registration. Each team is scheduled to participate in seven games, typically held on weekends, with the game schedule projected to release in mid March and mid September. Practices will be held one to two times per week, with the specific day and time determined by the coach's availability.

Uniform requirements include a green jersey, black shorts (preferably without pockets), and long black socks. Shin guards are mandatory for all players, and cleats are recommended (must not have a toe cleat). The soccer closet offers jerseys (new style required $25), new soccer shorts and socks, new and old used shin guards and cleats for a $5 suggested donation to support club operations.

Micro Teams (ages 3-6) Program Details:

Uniforms are optional for micro teams, but shin guards are mandatory.

Our micro teams participate in weekly, in-house practices for a duration of six weeks, with each session lasting approximately 45-60 minutes. The scheduling of these sessions is determined by the coaches' availability and field allocation, which will be communicated once volunteer coaches are assigned. The primary objectives of our micro teams are to develop fundamental skills, promote physical activity, foster friendships, and engage in scrimmages whenever feasible.

Call for Volunteer Coaches: The success of our seasonal play depends on the dedication of volunteer coaches. While the state mandates certain requirements for coaches, these can be easily met through online modules at no cost. To protect our players and uphold club standards, completion of these requirements before the season's start is mandatory. However, to ease the transition, numerous practice plans, YouTube videos, and an app are at your disposal. Volunteers will be rewarded with a $5 discount. Our aim is to have two coaches for each team, though more coaches would be welcomed. One of the perks of coaching with us is the flexibility to choose practice times that fit your schedule, contingent on field availability. You're encouraged to communicate with your team about scheduling. The field shed houses all necessary equipment.
Reach out or sign up during registration! The following individuals can answer your questions.
Christa Lee Reisdorff - secretary/registrar
Zachary Paul Hansen - coaching coordinator
Scott Ensor - field coordinator

Spring soccer updates:

Traveling rec teams - coaches have been sent their rosters and are planning their practice schedules. If they have not been in contact with you yet, they should be soon. Please give them time to coordinate. The game schedule for those teams will be released 3/18/26. Games are always on Saturday or Sunday. We are aware that baseball games (10U and younger) are on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings and will work around that. Practice schedules may change after baseball starts so that players can make it to both practices.

Micro teams - I inadvertently put the deadline as 3/15 instead of 3/5 on the flyer so registration is still open 😜 as soon as we have coaches established for each team, they will be in contact with you regarding practices. Most teams will start the 1st or 2nd week of April and go for 6 weeks.

We have many parent volunteers that are willing to help coach teams but we need many more! If you’re new to the club or hesitant to coach because you "know nothing about soccer," don’t worry—spoiler alert: none of us really do 😉. At the micro level, it’s all about the FUNdamentals, corny but true. It’s mostly about getting the kids outside, making friends, and maybe (hopefully) learning at least one thing about soccer—like not using your hands, staying inside the white lines, and trying not to cry when your team scores but YOU didn't. 😂
