🥎🌊 FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO MYRTLE BEACH! 🌊🥎

This weekend looked a little different than most weekends for our Appalachian Outlaws. 💗🩵

We traded our softball fields tucked away in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina for white sand, blue skies, ocean water… and, of course, softball fields! ☀️🌊🥎

TEN amazing young ladies from our Appalachian Outlaws family packed their bags and headed to Myrtle Beach for the All-American All-Star Games! ⭐️🇺🇸

These girls headed to Myrtle with one BIG goal in mind…

WIN. 🏆

But what made this weekend so special was that they weren’t playing beside their normal Outlaw teammates. They were placed on different teams, surrounded by girls from different places—many of whom they had never met before.

And that didn’t slow them down one bit.

They walked onto those fields, made new teammates, adjusted to new coaches and new situations, and SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT when it mattered. 💪🥎

Not every girl walked away with the same outcome on the scoreboard, but every single one of them walked away with something valuable. They competed. They learned. They grew. They made memories. They formed new friendships. And they became better softball players because they were willing to step outside their comfort zones and compete.

And out of these nine incredible young ladies…

Kaci and Gracie, a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to both of you! We couldn’t be more proud of your performances, your hard work, and the way you represented yourselves and the Appalachian Outlaws. You earned this one, girls! 💗🩵

But we are incredibly proud of ALL TEN of our girls.

A championship trophy is pretty awesome, but watching our athletes have the courage to step onto a field with unfamiliar teammates and compete against talented players from all over is something we are just as proud of.

And we absolutely cannot forget the people behind these girls.

THANK YOU TO THE PARENTS AND SIBLINGS! ❤️

Thank you for taking time away from work. Thank you for missing school. Thank you for packing the cars, making the drive, hauling all the softball gear, sitting through long days at the fields, cheering until you were probably hoarse, and spending the last FIVE DAYS at the beach watching some of our favorite humans do what they absolutely love.

Travel softball takes a village, and our girls couldn’t chase these opportunities without the families standing behind them every step of the way.

TEN Outlaws went to Myrtle Beach.

TEN competed.

TEN represented.

TEN came home better than they left.

And TWO CAME HOME CHAMPIONS! 🏆🏆

Now the beach bags can be unpacked, the sand can FINALLY be shaken out of everything 😂🌊, and we can turn our attention to what’s next…

💗🩵 APPALACHIAN OUTLAWS — LET’S GO! 🩵💗

Sometimes the most beautiful moments in softball have absolutely nothing to do with the scoreboard. 🥎❤️

Two young ladies.
Two different teams.
Two different uniforms.
Technically, opponents.

But when one needed a little help, none of that mattered.

Right there in the dirt, a catcher stopped and helped a batter tie her shoe. No hesitation. No worrying about which jersey she was wearing. Just one young athlete helping another.

This is sportsmanship. This is character. This is what youth sports are supposed to teach.

We spend so much time talking about batting averages, strikeouts, wins, losses, trophies, and championships. But years from now, those numbers will fade. Moments like this are what matter.

Because softball is bigger than a game.

It teaches our girls that you can compete fiercely and still be kind. You can want to win and still lift someone else up. You can stand on opposite sides of the field without forgetting that the person across from you deserves respect.

For a few seconds, there weren’t two teams.

There were simply two young ladies, one helping the other. ❤️

And maybe that’s one of the greatest victories we could ever ask for.

Keep competing. Keep being fierce. But above all else, keep being good humans. 🥎🫶

🎉🥳 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COACH MIKE! 🥳🎉

Everybody help us wish one of our favorite Outlaws, Coach Mike, a VERY Happy Birthday! 🎂🎈

Coach Mike is the kind of guy who somehow manages to be a coach, therapist, problem solver, equipment finder, professional eye-roller, and occasional voice of reason… although we use the word reason pretty loosely around here. 😂

He has mastered the art of looking completely calm while everything around him is absolute chaos. He can answer the same question 47 times, survive a group of teenage girls talking over each other, listen to parents yell his name from three different directions, and still somehow keep a straight face. Most of the time. 🤣

He’s also learned one of the most important lessons of being an Outlaws coach: sometimes it’s easier to just smile, nod, and pretend Cathy’s latest idea sounds completely normal. 😂😂😂

All jokes aside, we are incredibly lucky to have Coach Mike as part of the Appalachian Outlaws family. ❤️

He gives so much of his time to these girls, believes in them, encourages them, pushes them when they need it, laughs with them, and is always there when they need someone in their corner. He cares about these young ladies far beyond anything that happens on a field, and that means more than he probably realizes.

Coach Mike, we hope your birthday is filled with everything you deserve — good food, lots of laughs, absolutely NO stress, and at least a few hours where nobody asks you to fix, carry, find, explain, organize, or deal with anything. 😂

We can’t promise that last part… actually, we can pretty much guarantee it won’t happen. 🤷‍♀️🤣

Thank you for everything you do and for putting up with this crazy, loud, slightly dysfunctional but pretty amazing Outlaws family. We wouldn’t trade you…

Well… unless the offer was REALLY good. 😏😂

💙🥎 BIG NEWS FOR KYLIE HENSON! 🥎💙

The Appalachian Outlaws couldn’t be more proud, excited, and blessed to announce that Kylie Henson has received a softball offer from Cleveland Community College! 🎓🔥

Kylie is the kind of player every coach wants in their organization. She is hard-working, motivated, driven, and a true leader both on and off the field. Her talent is undeniable, but what makes her truly special is the work ethic and determination she brings every single day.

We are incredibly blessed to have a player of Kylie’s talent, character, and competitive spirit wearing the Appalachian Outlaws uniform. Watching her grow, develop, and chase her goals has been an absolute privilege.

Kylie — this is just the beginning. Keep working. Keep leading. Keep believing. Your future is BIG, and we can’t wait to watch you continue to make your mark! 💪🔥

🎉🥎🩷🩵 OUR #6 IS SWEET SIXTEEN! 🩵🩷🥎🎉

Everybody help us wish a HUGE HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY to our very own CENTER FIELD QUEEN, CORINNE POSTON! 👑6️⃣

That’s right… Corinne is officially 16 years old today!

From your coaches, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you that turning 16 does NOT mean:

❌ You get to make the lineup.
❌ You get to decide when practice ends.
❌ “But it’s my birthday” gets you out of conditioning.
❌ You get extra outs when you’re batting.
❌ Catching one ridiculous fly ball means you can give your coaches a heart attack on the next one.
❌ And NO, being the Center Field Queen does not technically make you royalty. 👑😂

Although… we’re pretty sure Corinne would argue every single one of those points.

And knowing Corinne, she’d probably have a whole explanation prepared for why she’s right. 🤣🤣

If you know #6, you already know there is NEVER a dull moment when she’s around.

She can make us laugh, shake our heads, question our coaching decisions, and be incredibly proud of her — sometimes all within the SAME INNING. 😂🥎

She has also mastered one of the most important softball skills of all:

Looking completely innocent when the coaches KNOW something is going on. 👀😂

Coach: “Corinne…”

Corinne: 😇 “What?”

Coach: “You know what.”

Corinne: “I literally didn’t do anything.”

Meanwhile, somebody else in the dugout is about to fall off the bench trying not to laugh. 🤣🤣🤣

And then there’s center field…

A ball gets hit and the coaches are yelling…

“BACK! BACK! BACK!”

Meanwhile Corinne is already halfway there like, “Y’all can stop yelling. I got it.” 😂

And somehow… most of the time…

SHE DOES. 👑🥎

Honestly, we’re convinced #6 believes the entire outfield belongs to her.

Ball to left?

CORINNE’S COMING.

Ball to right?

CORINNE’S COMING.

Shortstop drifting back?

You might want to move because…

CORINNE. IS. COMING. 😂😂😂

At this point, we should probably just put a giant sign in the grass:

But as much as we love picking on her — and trust us, we do 😂 — underneath all the jokes, softball chaos, long tournament weekends, crazy dugout conversations, and moments that have probably added a few gray hairs to her coaches, there is a young lady we absolutely adore. 🩷

Corinne, getting to watch you grow has been such a gift.

We’ve watched you become stronger, more confident, more determined, and more mature. We’ve watched you celebrate the great games and push through the hard ones. We’ve watched you learn, grow, make mistakes, bounce back, and continue becoming a better player and an even better young lady.

And through it all, you keep showing up.

You keep working.

You keep laughing.

You keep being a teammate.

And most importantly, you keep being Corinne. 🩷

That is what makes us the proudest.

One day, the tournaments will end. The uniforms will get packed away. The cleats will get retired, and there won’t be another fly ball waiting for #6 in center field.

But the memories will stay.

The friendships.

The ridiculous dugout conversations.

The long tournament days.

The wins.

The losses.

The laughs until your stomach hurts.

The lessons.

And the softball family that stood beside you through all of it. 🥎🩷🩵

We hope when you look back on these years, you always remember just how many people were standing behind you, cheering for you and believing in you.

Your coaches believe in you.

Your teammates love you.

And your Appalachian Outlaws family is incredibly proud of the young woman you are becoming. 🩷🩵

We may give you a hard time.

Okay…

We DEFINITELY give you a hard time. 😂😂

But that’s because you’re ours.

🥎🔥 CALLING ALL PITCHERS — YOUR NEXT SOFTBALL HOME COULD BE WITH THE OUTLAWS! 🔥🥎

The 14U Appalachian Outlaws are still looking to add a PITCHER to our 2026/2027 roster, and we’re looking for the right young lady who is ready to work hard, compete, grow, and become part of something pretty special! 💗🩵

We’re proud of the softball we play, but we’re even more proud of the group we’ve built. Great players. Great parents. Great coaches. One softball family.

And don’t let distance automatically stop you from reaching out! Practice arrangements can be worked with for the right player and family.

So, what makes being an Outlaw a little different?

🥎 Indoor training facility — because Western North Carolina weather doesn’t always cooperate! Rain, cold, winter… we can still WORK.

🥎 Collegiate-level coaching on staff — our girls have the opportunity to learn from coaches with experience at the college level.

🥎 In-house specialized instruction — our players have access to dedicated pitching, catching, fielding, and hitting/batting coaches. Whether it’s getting extra work in the circle, behind the plate, at the plate, or in the field, our girls have resources available to help them continue developing their game.

🥎 Player development matters — we want our girls getting better, becoming smarter ballplayers, gaining confidence, and learning how to compete.

🥎 A team that actually enjoys being together — these girls work hard, but they also laugh, cheer LOUD, celebrate each other, and make some pretty great memories along the way.

💗 A few fun facts about our Outlaws…

We played 50 games together this past season and our girls combined for 309 hits, 307 runs, 220 RBIs, and 178 stolen bases! We’ve celebrated grand slams, over-the-fence home runs, 100+ strikeout milestones, and even a bunt or two that might not have been pretty… but hey, if it works, IT WORKS! 😂🥎

We’ve traveled, battled through tough games, celebrated big wins, learned from losses, and watched these girls grow into an incredible group of teammates.

But one of our favorite stats can’t be found in a scorebook:

We aren’t looking for someone just to fill a spot on a roster. We’re looking for a pitcher who wants to become part of the Outlaw family — someone ready to work, compete, learn, laugh, make memories, and take the field with an amazing group of young ladies.
