Lucky to have a fantastic group of 12U Sting players and families. Don’t forget to register for tryouts!

It is easy to get swept up in the rankings, tournament brackets, and trophy counts. But those numbers don't tell the real story of your child's season.

If you want to know if your kid is on the right baseball team, ignore the scoreboard and look for these three things instead:

1. The Car Ride Vibe: They are excited on the way to the field, and they are talkative on the way home. The car rides aren't filled with heavy silence or anxious tears.

2. The Mistakes-as-Classrooms Rule: When they make an error on the field, the coach's first instinct is to teach, not to yell. Your child feels safe trying new skills because they know the bench isn’t the immediate punishment for a mistake.

3. The Dugout Connection: They actually like their teammates. They are celebrating each other's successes, high-fiving on the foul lines, and building friendships that exist outside of the park.

If your child has these three things, they are winning—regardless of what the tournament bracket says.
