June 13 Mike Nelms Classic 45 was an eventful night.
Qualified 7th out of 16 cars. The fast qualifier rolled a 3 (+4) which put the 48 on the pole with the invert for the 45 lap feature. First half of the race was going great and at the half way break we were in fifth. During the seven minute break had to swap out plug wires as two of them were on fire, got that done just in time to go back out. In the second half the trans started to slip so we didn’t end up finishing the race.
Back out in the garage early this morning to fix some things and get it back to the track for Summer Nationals.

June 6, 2026 Race Recap
20 cars once again this week. We qualified 8th with a 22.099. That had us starting fourth in the second heat. Finished 5/10 in the heat race. In the feature we started 10th and the goal was to finish with minimal damage which was accomplished. The front bumper got hooked on another car and got pulled out but not too bad. Ended up finishing 9th for the night and worked hard on throttle control.
